June Festivals in the City
June is not only home to beautiful weather and start of summer, but also kicks-off festival season in the city. So we put together a list of our favourite festivals this month that we think you should check out.
NXNE (June 15 – 19)
NXNE showcases some of the best new music and films by independent artist and creators that are “ones to watch”. Aside from phenomenal music and movies, the festival also has Game Land where you can test out new video games; and Future Land a panel from some of the greatest innovators in the gaming and music industry.
Front Street Foods (June 13 – August 5)
This year located at Adelaide Place, the Front Street Foods Festival welcomes guest to enjoy some of the city’s favourite street food. The food at the festival showcases some of Toronto’s top chefs, bakers and artisanal food makers. With more than enough good food for everyone, it’s something you can’t miss!
Luminato (June 10 – 26)
Luminato celebrates local and international art, theatre, music, dance and film. Located in various places within the city, the festival allows some of the most talented artist come out and showcase their work to city-goers.
Toronto Wine & Spirit Festival (June 16 – 18)
Taking place at Sugar Beach, the Toronto Wine & Spirit Festival provides a fun weekend by the waterfront. Now in its 8th year, you can sample wine and beers while taking in some great live music.
Dundas West Festival (June 11)
Happening this weekend, the Dundas West Festival, brings together the community to celebrate the diverse cultures and art that that area is known for. It stretches across 12 city blocks and has of live music, food and vendors to celebrate.
