The light from the sun shinning into the room hit Jon’s face. He squinted his eyes, feeling his head pound as he looked at the light. He brought his hand up to cover the beams from his eyes, when he noticed a ring on his finger. His eyes widened a bit as he started to remember what had happened the night before. A simple conversation at the bar, a few drinks, and then one of them dragging the other to get married. He sat up and rubbed his face, looking over to the other side of the bed to see Delila still asleep, “Fuck.” He mumbled. He got out of bed, putting his boxers on as he headed out of the room to get some coffee.
Once he came back he sat the cup of coffee he got for her on the small bedside table. He glanced over at her to see she was awake. He gave her an awkward smile, “So, uh, do you remember what happened last night?”
Delila had slowly woken up not long after Jon had gotten out of bed, first sitting up and looking around the unfamiliar room in confusion, squinting against the bright sunlight filtering in. Her head was aching almost painfully and she ran her hand through her hair before wincing as something snagged on a few strands of it.
She was staring down at the ring on her finger when Jon walked back into the room and she pulled the sheet up to cover her bare chest at some attempt at modesty. “Not... really. What... Why is there a ring on my finger?” Delila was never one to beat around the bush if it could be helped and this was not a situation where she thought tiptoeing around the topic was a good idea.
