was there anything to think about? to consider? yeah, he would never deny what he felt for teresa back in the maze, in the scorch, before everything went down hill. he would never underestimate what she did to save him, and he would always blame himself, would never forgive himself, for how she met her end. he did not longer hold anything against the other girl, but his heart now laid in some place else. it’s been that way for a long time now. it laid with the girl who saved him from himself, who gave him a reason to keep going, who brought light into his life even when all she could see was darkness. the answer was crystal clear, a small smile playing on his lips as the words fell from him.
