Ryujin barely catches Yuna’s murmuring as she makes her way to the door. When she opens it, the first thing she sees is a pair of hands holding up two plastic bags stuffed to the brim with food. “Thank god.” The relief is loud in her voice — not so much for her sake as it is for the girls behind her. But when she goes to grab their dinner, Ryujin realizes it’s not Jisu’s hands she’s reaching for. These are bigger and — from what she can tell by sight — stronger. “The name’s Yeji actually.” The owner of the hands corrects her and Ryujin follows the girl’s sinewy fingers up her steady forearms before reaching her face. A small dragoon tooth is peeking out from the corner of her mouth — sharp like the cut of her jaw or the look in her eyes. It reminds Ryujin of the hungry cats she sees outside her windows sometimes. Yeah, this is definitely not Jisu.
