Here’s a look at what I need daily. I’m on a GI antibiotic, an anti nausea medication since my tummy isn’t used to food, Pepcid to protect my tummy, an antibiotic for my skin, a cream for all my wounds and an injection of a medicine to bring my Lactate down. I get fed a special veterinary diet on a super strict schedule. I get about 1 and 1/2 cans a day, divided into 6 small meals so my little body can get used to food again. Pups in my situation can get something called “refeeding syndrome” if I get too much food too quickly and it would make me very very sick. So my mama sticks to the schedule even though she told me she wants to give me a thousand cookies!
