I am just now beginning to express one hell of an NYC accent and I cannot for the life of me understand it. why now. I am a New Yorker but I’ve never noticed this before. Is it just now rising to the surface? Have I been unconsciously repressing an accent this whole time? Did I make it up?? All I know is that I am saying “wouatah” and “ceeash” and “ouuauful” and “faatha”
