Self Promotion

Many excitement. Very yay.

I’m having trouble writing. I do it every day, but it’s not easy. Last week during a maddening creative block, I painted the kitchen table. Now it’s bright green and if you eat at it you risk ruining the paint. Because I didn’t put any sort of sealant or whatever on it. So I have simultaneously removed both design and function from a necessary household item.

Vacation!

Vacation?!

Trying to the think of something better than “sorry for the radio silence.”

But I’m not sorry! I’m on VACATION. In IOWA. Which means in lieu of doing work, aka using the computer / my brain, I’ve been eating and sleeping. And eating some more. And drinking girly beers on boats.

So Thursday I return to NYC, a little bit heavier, but still pretty pale despite my direct contact with the sunshine.

Good Morning, Chicken

I changed the ring on my alarm clock to the Chicken Dance.

It works for two reasons: 1, I have to shut it off as fast as possible, or my boyfriend will get mad. 2, I’ve been starting the day with a laugh.

Currently, however, that’s the tune stuck in my head. Not so great after an hour.
