Someone needs to adopt this beautiful cat. He lives on Conselyea between Graham and Humboldt. He is curious, isn’t afraid of dogs and likes the have his head scratched but does not want to be held. The woman who feeds him says he’s been out there for a couple years and has a chip. She's not flashy like a Siamese or something, she's not desperately cute like the kitten she once was, but she IS very special. This gorgeous, soft spoken, gentle mature lady is wonderful soul simply looking for a quiet, loving forever home. Sweetie is about 10 years old, a graceful middle-aged kitty. She was found abandoned in a construction site nearby -- how could anyone leave this poor girl behind? She is a little shy so tends to keep to herself and hang out under furniture, but she loves affection when she's feeling cuddly and enjoys a good romp with her toys. She's the perfect balance, very independent but eager to exchange cuddles when the moment is right. Her foster mom says: "Sweetie loves to sleep under my bed right below where my pillows are. Occasionally, I hear her snoring on her favorite bed — with all four legs stretched out — which makes me smile. She spends more and more time out of her 'zone' under my bed and asks for affection. She is not the kind of cat that likes to be picked up, but she is so sweet. :) She likes to play with her favorite a blue fish toy stuffed full of catnip. She also loves to be pet on her forehead and back while she makes her cutest purring! She still snores when she sleeps (very cute! and soothing actually haha) and she now sits by my room door to look around sometimes when she needs a break from her spot. She is desperately waiting for someone to acknowledge her. Truly heartbreaking! 3 yrs old - affectionate, loving and such a sweet soul. Sadly, she was abandoned, due to no fault of her own. Now living in a boarding crate until a forever home is found. Sophie was dumped at a vet's office. She was thin, dehydrated and required immediate medical attention. This neglect could have caused Sophie her life. With Sub Q fluids and proper nutrition she blossomed. Diagnosed with chronic constipation, Sophie will require a daily med and high fiber prescription diet. Fiber response food can be purchased online or at vet's office ($40/8.8 bag dry & $35/ 24 cans of wet food). Cisapride (compound) is purchased online w/ a prescription (approx $45 per mos). This is something that is easily manageable and should not stop someone from opening their heart to Sophie ❤ Poor Sophie has been through so much in her short life.
