Day 14: Longest WIP #GreatBritishQuilter 🇬🇧 🙈🙉🙊 I, like so many other quilters, have more than a few longstanding WIPs hanging around, so I went back to the beginning of my blog to find a couple of projects that I blogged about in the early days but haven’t yet finished. 🤔🤭 There are 2 major culprits: ✂✂✂✂✂ 1) a Bear’s Paw quilt from one of my turns as @NYCMetroMOD Queen Bee in 2012 – first blogged about in November 2012. I’m including a pic of my own block, then the 12 blocks that were returned to me and blogged about in March 2013. In 2015, I sashed the blocks and sewed them together. The last time I worked on the quilt was in 2017 when I added a couple of borders – didn’t have any pics of its current stage, so nipped out just before dark and snapped a couple. I still want to add a HST border and a final solid border and then it’s all over bar the quilting. Maybe it’ll be finished and in use by its 10-year anniversary, that’s something to work towards. ✂✂✂✂✂ Savvy TulaTroops will no doubt have already spotted the fabric is Tula Pink's Swallow Skies (Storm) from The Birds and The Bees collection and the solid is Kona Sage; 🤫 even older still is 2) a Weeks Ringle & Bill Kerr Transparency Quilt that I started in May 2012 – I was in a 3-session class at The City Quilter taught by John Kubiniec @BigRigQuilting, but my Dad died unexpectedly and I only made it to the first session. I’ve never returned to the project and still don’t feel inclined to. Maybe this is one WIP that should be donated to someone who wants to finish what I started 🤔 ✂✂✂✂✂ #quilting #BearsPaw #NYCMetroMod #QueenBee #tulatroops #tulapink #swallowskies #thebirdsandthebees #konasolid #transparencyquilt #WIP @sarahashfordstudios @verykerryberry #mbCD #madebyChrissieD https://www.instagram.com/p/Bnr_mxrhRZh/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1dyzj790wzjbs
