NYC Comic Con Adventures
So this weekend I went to NYC Comic Con...this was my 4th year going and I had alot of fun as always!! I went Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so I got to do alot.
Friday
So Friday was my Pretty Little Liars/ Once Upon A Time day. I went to NYCCC with my cousin and his girlfriend and some of their friends. My cousin’s gf had a press pass because of an internship she had so she got to do alot and meet alot of people, much to my jealousy. She was able to get on line and get a badge to meet the PLL cast. However, since I coouldn’t get in as soon as she did I decided to try and get into the panel instead rather than risk not gettinga badge and not getting into anything. The panel was good and we got to see the first 4 minutes of the new season. Plus, I was seated on the far left right next to the curtain where the cast came in through. Before they came out they played the clip and Ashley Benson opened up the curtain and was watching the clip with us and I was right next to her. I was kinda freaking out. I wanted to take a pic but I didn’t wanna look like a creep :D
After that I met up with a friend of mine and hung out with her for awhile and ate lunch and stuff. I then went to the Empire Stage to get a good seat for the Once Upon a Time panel with Jennifer Morrison. The panel was good as well and we got to see yesterday’s ep early! Also, apparently Henry’s little romance this season is going to break our hearts :( After that I wanted to go to the Agents of Shield and Agent Carter panels but they were in the other main theatre and you needed a wristband for them so I decied to just stay for the Teen Wolf panel which came right after OUAT. The panel was okay, I was mostly disappointed Dylan O’brian wasn’t there, but Tyler Poesy was so that was a plus! He’s hilarious and I love him & he made the panel. We also got to see the promo for the second half of the season which looks creepy as fuck. By the time that was done we were ready to leave.
Saturday
This day for me was Shadowhunters day. My main goal was to go to the Shadowhunters panel. As soon as I got there I went to the Empire Stage and I got a decent seat I guess. The panel was great the whole cast plus Cassandra Clare was there. We got to see a 6 minute clip of the pilot ep of the show which looks so cool and MUCH better than the movie already. Plus they gave us swag and a free sample of her new book The Dark Artifices: Lady Midnight which I believe comes out in March. They announced the show’s gonna premiere January 12th, 2016. Afterward I stayed in the room cause my cousin and his gf and friend came for a Batman panel. The next panel was for MTV’s new scripted high fantasy series (yes you heard right) The Shannara Chronicles....which I didn’t even know was a thing. Austin Butler is in it and the guy that played Deathstroke on Arrow. We saw a trailer for it and it actually looks amazing....like a legit fantasy with really good cinematography and CGI. I may need to check the show out now. It premieres January 5th, 2016....Another show to add to my list. damn.
Afterward I stayed for the Batman panel kind of, but my cousin’s gf tried to convince me to go to the free Teen Wolf signing which was in the room right outside. She had actually got to interview the cast that morning :D I found out you actually needed a wristband though which they gave out at 10:00. However, I tried to wait outside the room as they were leaving to say hi. I found out Tyler Poesy wasn’t there which disappointed me but I saw Jeff Davis, Dylan Sprayberry and the guy that plays Theo as they left and I said hello. The rest of the day we went and got lunch at Five guys and then I just walked around while my cousin got shit that he wanted to get.
Sunday
Sunday was my buying shit and DCTV day. When I got there I immediately tried to get wristbands for Supergirl, Gotham, and Legends of Tomorrow cast but they were gone by the time I got there. My cousin’s gf was able to get one for Legends of Tomorrow. I was disappointed but I just spent the rest of the day shopping. I bought some books and posters and I bought my first graphic novels. I got Ms. Marvel Volume 1, Saga Vol.1, and The Walking Dead Vol 1. After that I had lunch and went to the DCTV panel which had a long ass line I was almost afraid I wouldn’t get in, but I did. The Legends of Tomorrow panel Brandon Routh and Arthur Darvill were there and the girl that plays Hawkgirl. We got to see sizzle reels for Arrow and Flash and whats to come which was awesome. After that was the Supergirl panel where we watched the pilot and then Peter Facinelli and the guy that plays James Olsen were there. I’m super excited for the show. After that were the Blindspot and Person of Interest panels which I didn’t care about so I was on my phone the whole time. Lastly was the Gotham panel where they showed us an awesome clip from tonight’s ep and the whole cast almost was there. It was my fave I think of all the panels! After that it was time to leave!
So yea that was my Comic Con adventures...I’m mostly disappointed I didn’t really meet anyone but hopefully next year I will. Or maybe I’ll go to SD Comic Con this Summer!! That would be awesome, but idk. One day I will!
