This is the horrendous face of a lying whore, a selfish and evil Zionist who never tires of resorting to drama to play the victim.
Here she was mocking Elden, saying that Born Again was a tribute to him. She's nothing but a whore! A lier!. She has no scruples! One day she will pay for everything she did and for causing Elden to lose his job. Selfish, petty, greedy, lying, disgusting, rotten breath.
She cries and complains about unemployment, but when she gets hers, she demands that Elden Henson not get his, just so she can have more screen time.
Everyone knows what she did to get it. But her fans will turn a blind eye because they are like her, unscrupulous and petty people.
She cries in front of the cameras, but she will laugh and brag about having her job in front of Elden Henson and will mock him when in reality, she is as guilty of Henson losing his job as Dario S.
Her fans know that she is nothing more than a Zionist, that she hates Elden Henson, but they pretend not to know this.
They are like her, they hate Foggy and Elden.
I'm counting the days to see her pay for her wickedness. The day she dies will be the happiest day of my life.
Peter? Can I ask you more about 2099? Is ... is that our future, for sure, or could it be some alternate universe? If it's ours, is it set in stone or can we change it..?
@karenpage-journalist
Well, it's complicated. Theoretically it's our future, because their past is our present. But it's still a multiverse variant of Earth, so it's not inevitable, only a possibility.
My current hypothesis is actually that we created the branch when Miguel came back in time and found me. He instantly changed the future of our universe by creating that connection and it became two different universes. So while their future developed out of our timeline, ours won't necessarily develop into theirs because of the branch.
Does that make sense? It's a little wibbly wobbly, timey wimey.
Reader is not enhanced, just a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. When I reference the Accords I’m saying it because government agents that worked closely with enhanced individuals were also required to sign. Refusing to sign = why it’s ‘former’ and not ‘current’ agent.
Going to Josie’s is a terrible idea. When your close friend / roommate talked you into it, that was the first thought that popped into your head. Once he broke your heart, you couldn’t bring yourself to go back there. So there was a quick series of knocks on your bedroom, followed by “willyoupleasegotojosieswithme”, you were curious.
She was the only one who knew that you and Matt broke up because he was keeping secrets and sneaking around at night. And she knew what Josie’s meant to you. So the fact that she was asking you to go… it piqued your interest.
“Umm… do I want to ask why?”
She bit her lip, debating if asking you was possibly a mistake. “Okay, so, you know that guy I’ve been talking to for like a month now? We were talking about plans earlier and he mentioned that he was going there tonight with a few friends and I had already told him that I was just staying in probably not leaving the couch, and he mentioned it would be cool if I went tonight.”
“So why don’t you just go, if he asked you to?”
“Because he’ll have friends there and I don’t want it to be weird,” she shrugged.
“Why can’t you ask anyone else?” You listed off a few of the girls you heard her mention from her job.
She thought about how to phrase what she wanted to say, before finally entering your room and sitting next to you on your bed. “I know you miss him. And you said it yourself just a few days ago, you’re trying to pick up the pieces of your life and move on. I think it would be good to get out, even if it’s just for an hour. You deserve to put on a hot outfit, feel good, and go out and have fun. Yes, I want to see that guy. But if you come with me I swear the second you say you’re uncomfortable or you want to leave, we will come straight home.”
You weighed the pros and cons, and knew that ultimately, it would do you good to go. The alternative was spending the night in your room. You’d probably re-watch some Criminal Minds, think about Matt, maybe cry a little, and then eventually fall asleep.
“You promise we’ll leave if I—” You were cut off when you were pulled to your feet.
“Yes! I swear you just say the word and we’ll be out of there in a minute.” She gave you a tight hug, then goes straight to your closet.
After watching her shuffle through your clothes for a solid minute, you cough. “Do you want to borrow something?”
“Oh I already know what I’m wearing. But we need to find something for you! I know you’re not interested in talking to any guys, but like I said this is about you looking and feeling good.”
Three outfit’s later, you finally settled on something. And half an hour after that, your hair and makeup was finished and you were both out the door just in time for the Uber driver to pull up in front of your apartment building.
When you entered Josie’s just ten minutes later, you already felt like your nerves were at an all time high. It didn’t help that as you were waiting behind someone to order a drink, you turn to look around and the first person you make eye contact with is none other than Foggy Nelson. Karen is sitting to his left, and even though he isn’t facing you, you know without a doubt who the man sitting across from him is.
Foggy smiles and waves, and you can’t help but give him a small smile back. During your time with Matt, he was nothing but kind to you. You can tell by the look on his face that he’s going to say something to Matt, so you wave to get his attention and immediately shake your head. He’s torn, but ultimately decides that it’s your decision if you don’t want to speak to Matt, so he doesn’t say anything.
But he’s Matt Murdock for fucks sake. And he knew you were there the second you stepped into Josie’s. A girl had accidentally bumped into you and apologized profusely. You laughed and assured her that it was fine, no harm done. He’d know that laugh anywhere. He’d fallen in love with that laugh.
He heard you approach the bar less than ten feet from where their table was. His back was to you, which meant that Foggy was facing your direction. And he had to have noticed you by now, so Matt wondered why he didn’t say anything.
After a couple of minutes, he noticed Foggy and Karen whispering / bickering between themselves. It didn’t take his super hearing to know what they were talking about.
“Just because we aren’t together anymore, doesn’t mean I expect you both to never talk to her again. You can go say hi.”
Foggy sighs, because of course he can’t say what he’s actually thinking because Karen doesn’t know yet. Karen, however, has no intentions of holding back. “That’s not what we were talking about.”
Hearing that, Foggy has to bite his tongue. He can’t exactly say he knows that’s not what we were fully talking about because he has freakishly good hearing and was probably listening to us the entire time. Still, he gives Karen a small nudge.
“Okay, fine,” she shrugs. “We were talking about that. Kind of. But you’re a dick. She wasn’t just your girlfriend Matt, she was our friend. And you fucked up.”
“I know that—”
Karen doesn’t care to be interrupted. “I’d hope that you do. She was perfect for you. And you just let her go.” Karen quickly chugs the rest of her drink and stands up. “I’m gonna go say hi. You can just sit there and think about how badly you fucked up.”
When she was out of hearing distance, Foggy leaned forward. “She’s right, you know.”
“Come on you think I don’t know that?”
“You know what, honestly I don’t think you do. Because if you did, you would’ve already fixed whatever mess you’ve created. Karen’s right. She was so good for you. I know that look on your face. Don’t spew some bullshit about how you’re just trying to protect her. If that’s the case, you wouldn’t have let things get as far as they did.”
“Foggy I risk my life practically every night—”
He rolls his eyes. “And I still think you’re an idiot for that. But come on, you don’t think she would get it? Maybe not like, be okay with it, but you don’t think she’d understand even a little bit? She’s friends with almost all of the Avenger’s for crying out loud. She used to work for S.H.I.E.L.D., she only quit because she refused to sign the Sokovia Accords and you’re telling me you think she would’ve left you if you told her?”
“I—”
“No. You’re my best friend, and you know I love you, but you do need to realize how bad you hurt her. She loved you more than I’ve ever seen anyone love another person. And I know she would’ve understood if you had just given her the chance. I’m gonna go say hi too.” Before Matt could respond, Foggy got up and left the table.
Deep down, Matt knew that both of his friends were right. It was only recently that he found out that Karen was the one that you’d called after you confronted Matt about where he was going at night. As much as you wanted to throw him under the bus, you still loved him. So you simply said that you two were no longer together.
Karen had immediately driven and picked you up, and the only reason she didn’t go into Matt’s apartment and yell at him was because you asked her not to.
Foggy was a whole different story. A few days after you weren’t coming around anymore, he asked Karen if she knew what was going on. She told him that it was your story to tell, but all she’d say was that Matt was an asshole. He knew exactly what that meant, and the first thing that Foggy did was check on you to make sure you were okay.
Because he knew, it nearly killed him to not be able to tell you everything. As mad as he was at Matt in that moment, and still was, like Karen said with you, it wasn’t his story to tell. So he settled for promising that he’d remind Matt multiple times a day what an idiot he was. Being the kind person that you were, you shook your head, saying you appreciated the thought but he didn’t need to do that.
He still did it though. And so did Karen. They didn’t go overboard, well Karen didn’t, because she genuinely didn’t know what happened. But Foggy was pissed. He thought that after everything, knowing most of your past and what you’d been through, that Matt would’ve told you. Instead, he pushed you away.
As Matt sat alone at the table, listening to you talk to Karen and Foggy, he thought about how he got to exactly where he was.
You, on the other hand, were relieved when you were approached. Your friend excused herself after saying hi, knowing you’d want to talk to both of them.
After you and Matt broke up, you secretly feared that they’d hate you. Since you wouldn’t tell them what happened, you had no idea what Matt would say. And you thought that since they were his friends first, they’d want nothing to do with you. But that couldn’t have been further from the truth. In reality, it was probably the other way around. Knowing that Matt was the one that ended things, unless it had to do with work, Foggy especially, wanted little to do with him.
It was ten minutes later that the two finally made their way back to Matt.
“You’re not the only one who’s miserable,” Foggy spoke as he sat down.
Karen bit her lip, wondering how much she should say. “Foggy maybe we—”
“No, he needs to hear this. Has he told you why he broke up with her?”
Matt felt like his heart was about to beat out of his chest. But Foggy was too good to him, even in times like this. “Because he’s an asshole. That’s why. You know why we came back over here? Because the conversation somehow turned to you and she was on the verge of tears. Her roommate came back over and took her outside.”
Now Matt felt like his heart was about to actually break. Of course he was still shattered by the consequences of his actions. But you’d been so angry when you left his apartment that he thought, well sort of hoped, that you’d take that anger and turn it into… determination? To move on, to do exactly what, he didn’t know.
He knew that if he someday heard you were doing great and living this amazing life, he’d be sad he wasn’t a part of that, but he’d be happy for you. So to hear that you were still just as broken up about it as he was, that made everything seem ten times worse.
He missed you. So fucking much. When he wasn’t actively dealing with a case at work, he was thinking of you. Every night when he came home to an empty apartment and got into an empty bed, he thought of you.
It wasn’t until tonight that he realized Foggy was right. Everything that you’ve seen, the people that you’ve dealt with and worked closely with, you of all people would’ve understood. But he made such a mess of things. When you asked if there was someone else that he was seeing, he immediately said no. You were it for him, and that was what he tried to assure you. But when he wouldn’t tell you where he was going, what else were you supposed to think?
Matt stood up, but paused. He knew what he wanted to do, what he needed to do, but he wasn’t sure how to go about doing it.
“Just go,” Karen gently nudged him towards the direction of the door. “I don’t know if she’s still outside, if she is just talk to her.”
Foggy spoke up, “but if she doesn’t want to listen, you might need to accept that. You want me to go with you?”
After a moment, Matt nodded. He felt pathetic, needing a wingman to talk to the woman he loves.
When they exit the bar, Matt doesn’t need Foggy to tell him. He knows you’re still there. To his left there’s a small group of friends, but to his right, it’s you. You’re talking to your friend, and it takes everything in him not to walk over and comfort you like he used to whenever you were upset.
“I— I can’t,” you whisper. “Of all the days we pick to come here, of course he’s here.”
Matt fears that you now hate him, but then he hears what you say next.
“I still love him, but I know he doesn’t love me anymore. Seeing him here tonight, I… I don’t know.”
“Do you want to talk to him?”
“No,” you wipe the few tears that have fallen. “He already said everything he needed to the last time we spoke. I’d just feel worse hearing his voice again.”
“Oh, hey!” Foggy walks over, pretending they hadn’t stepped outside in search of you. You quickly turn to the side and wipe your tears, and Foggy being the good friend he is, pretends not to notice because he knows one of the things you hate most, is people seeing you vulnerable.
You look behind him. “Any reason in particular you stepped outside? And please don’t say it was for the fresh air.”
Foggy sighs. “Look, I know I have no right to ask this. Believe me, I’m still pissed at him. But I think he really just wants to talk.”
“We already talked, remember?” Having said that, you look at Matt again, who’s standing off to the side desperately trying not to eavesdrop, you can’t help but sigh as you turn to your roommate. “You go back in and have fun.”
“Are you sure?” She looks at you, a little worried.
You smile and nod, “I’ll be okay. I’m also a little tired so I’m just going to get an Uber home. And don’t say you’ll come with me, because I know you would. But you deserve to have fun tonight.”
Foggy gives you a quick hug, whispering that he’ll call to check on you tomorrow. He then turns to your friend, offering her his arm as they head back in. “I ever tell you that I almost became a butcher?”
As they walk by Matt, Foggy taps him on the shoulder, and Matt takes that as his cue to walk over to you. “Can I talk to you, please?”
Seeing him standing right in front of you, you can already feel the tears coming on. “I’m not sure how much more there is to say…”
“Just five minutes. After that, if you never want to hear from me again, I’ll go. I promise.”
You can’t quite pinpoint what emotion you’re feeling. Sadness, hurt, anger? Maybe a little bit of each. “You’re the one that wanted me to leave. You’re the one that ended things and you stopped loving me. Why do I need to stand here and listen to anything you could possibly have to say?”
“Hey,” Matt steps forward, putting a hand on your cheek. For just a second, you lean into his touch. But then come to your senses, and take a few steps back. “I’ve never stopped loving you, I’ve never stopped being in love with you.”
You scoff and resist the urge to roll your eyes. “Right.”
“I mean it. Just because I ended things—”
“Please do us both a favor and cut the bullshit. You can tell me all these things, but they don’t mean anything. I don’t know what I did wrong or where we went wrong, but it doesn’t add up. You love me, you’re in love with me, that’s hard to believe when you compare your words to your actions. I’m not stupid. Late nights at work, sneaking out once I’ve fallen asleep, and when I did wake up and try to call you, your phone would be off, I don’t want to know who she is I just—”
Matt shook his head, suddenly desperate for you to believe him. “There was no one else you have to believe me.”
“Where were you going at night?” He’s silent, and you can’t help but laugh at how ridiculous this situation is. “I guess I don’t have to believe shit.” You turn around, about to pull your phone out of your purse and order an Uber.
Suddenly, Matt gently grabs your wrist, forcing you to spin around and face him again. “Please.”
“I don’t know what else you want me to say, or what bullshit you have to say. We were friends for a year, then we dated for two years. And I thought I knew who you were. I thought you loved me too.” You bite your lip, trying to stop yourself from crying. “I don’t cry myself to sleep anymore. I don’t spend my nights getting drunk wondering if you were the one and if I’m just going to be alone for the rest of my life. I’m not happy, but I’m working towards it. You can’t come back into my life and try to— do whatever it is you’re trying to do. Especially if you’re still going to lie and keep secrets.”
“I just—”
“You know I found one of your shirts at my apartment maybe a week after we ended things. The one you left the first time you spent the night. And I nearly broke down because it still smells like you. I didn’t even want to pick it up because I knew if I did… so I just kicked it under the bed hoping that I could forget everything.”
There was still one question on your mind, and after a moment of silence, you worked up the courage to ask. “If you missed me so much, why didn’t you try to call?”
“What?”
“You didn’t even try to call,” it comes out as a whisper, you’re that close to crying in front of him. “I was in love with you, you broke my heart, and you act like you missed me but you didn’t even call me.”
“I couldn’t. I…” Matt tried, and failed, to find the words. How could he get you to understand that he only broke up with you in an attempt to keep you safe? How could he say that, without actually telling you why he needed to keep you safe? Foggy was right, you would understand. But now didn’t seem like the best time to come out and say it.
“I don’t know where you were sneaking off to, or who you were with, but I guess it doesn’t matter what I think in the end, does it?”
He takes a step closer, wanting to hold you but knowing that’s probably the last thing you want right now. “Of course what you think matters to me. Your opinion has always mattered more than anyone else’s.”
“Why? We’re not together, and I don’t think I could even be friends with you if you’re not going to be honest. I’m not gonna lie and say I haven’t missed you because I have. So fucking much, and I still cry about it sometimes. Thinking about what you said to me and how for me it came out of nowhere. I thought we were really good together. But you didn’t I guess, and I have to learn to be okay with that.”
You close the gap between you two, and pull Matt in for a hug. He could cry, he’s missed the feeling of being in your arms so much. He wants to stay in this moment.
“I miss you,” you say softly. “But I have to go. Maybe one day I’ll get used to this feeling, maybe I’ll be able to see you and not think about how things ended. But right now I just feel like shit, and I can’t talk about this anymore because I know if I do, I’ll probably fall into your arms and let things go back to the way they were. But I deserve better than that, I deserve the truth. Goodbye Matt,” you give him a kiss on the cheek, and as you’re walking away, you have to force yourself to not look back.
