Grand Central - 42nd Street (1913) This incredible photo was taken around the opening of Grand Central Terminal in 1913. We noticed a couple cool details after zooming in: -'Subway Entrance Downtown' on the corner The Park Avenue Viaduct has not been constructed, even though there are cars on the upper level -Cars and horses lined up on 42nd in front of the entrance -Elevated station just to the east of Grand Central -The clock has yet to be added to the statue of Mercury, Hercules and Minerva -Original Belgian block pavers in between the streetcar tracks on 42nd Street -Many of Grand Centrals windows are cracked open Do you notice anything else?
