I was very very lucky to get to go see CATS: The Jellicle Ball. First up in my inspired pieces from this show is one Ken Ard, who not only originated the role of Macavity on Broadway, but has returned from a 25 year hiatus to join the reimagining as DJ Griddlebone. It's so incredible to get to have seen his return and to get to see how much joy he still has for this show. I'm going to be incredibly obnoxious about this show and make no apologies.

The first of the swing actors I'll be drawing as part of the Jellicle Catz series! She has stepped up as Bustopher Jones and Grizabella, but this particular pink dream you'll recognize from the Tony's performance. I've been referring to this as her Aphrodite look.
Also the official Jellicle Ball Instagram shared a bunch of my art and I'm so so incredibly honored and ecstatic to be a part of this.
Haus of Dots presents: Victoria
I'm SO so so obsessed with the (Tony award winning!!!) costume design in this show. Victoria has SUCH a gorgeous and iconic introduction look, and working on this piece I got to deeply appreciate how the Dots motif is included in her costuming from the very beginning.

I had so so SO much fun with the first Catz doll that I'm going to be doing a series of as much of the cast of Cats: The Jellicle Ball as I possibly can. Happy Tony's!
💚🧡💛 Haus of Macavity💚🧡💛
Every queer millennial obsessed with the musical Cats felt some kind of awakening watching the 1998 recording, right? For me it was Bombalurina and Demeter singing Macavity, and these absolute bombshells fully slay in The Jellicle Ball. Mother Macavity herself is also an ICON (Leiomy Maldonado hello????)
So please do expect me to become even more obnoxious about this THREE TIME TONY WINNER, I'm not even close to done with them yet.
