[ GODDESS TOWER ]
"Do I have a guardian nearby you can speak to?" Nyx crosses her arms, staring daggers at the two guards who approached her and her fellow ball-goer.
"All I wanted was to escape from that stuffy ball room for a moment and not only am I being unjustly accosted, but also insulted. Your incompetence is palpable and is poisoning the very air I breathe. Even the flowers are repulsed by your presence." On queue, a few petals from her bouquet fall wistlessly to the ground.
Exasperated, Nyx turns to her comrade in arms, "And you youngster, you shouldn't have to waste such a precious night dealing with these lot. I apologize. You have found yourself victim of systematic ineptitude. You should go enjoy the ambiance. I can stay here and clear our names," She says, offering an orchid as consolation.
Nyx turns to face the guards, shoulders squared with classic Nohrian fortitude, "Or do you wish to waste even more of a student's joyous night."
When situations like this arise, Niamh doesn't always have the right words ready. She can be blunt and to the point at times, but more often that not? Her use of words finds herself with puzzled faces or worse, unconvinced individuals.
So, to have someone do the talking for her, and handle the very people who had barred them entrance to the tower? In response to Nyx's comment, Niamh responds with a curt nod. The people before them were fairly rude. All they wanted was an escape from the ball room - every year, no matter the venue, Niamh always had to find some time in a quiet spot in order to balance the rowdiness that the ball had to offer.
So, when the orchid is offered, Niamh hands a Tulip in turn. If Nyx was to talk down these pushy people, it's the least she can provide to express her thanks.
"I'll be back..." she says, as she ascends the stairs. It'll give her time to breathe, take in the night air, and collect her thoughts. And if Nyx is still being bothered by them upon return?
Niamh will find a way to stop them, then, in her own way.
