Minho stomps his way towards the door, the stupid cat-themed slippers lightening the sound of his stomps with only irritates him more. He can feel the vicious glare taking over his eyes, mouth set in a firm straight line. The doorbell rings again, and Minho rolls his eyes as he unlocks the latch and yanks the door open. Seungmin stumbles back a step in shock and Minho takes in a sharp breath, eyes wide when he takes in the scene in front of him. Kim Seungmin— his husband, is standing in the doorway with a kid tucked into his arms.

Seungmin and Minho tiptoe around an unspoken sweetness that might shape their tomorrow.

Minho is dreaming—about nothing in particular. In his dream, there’s the warmth of soft skin pressed against his, a sensation that brings an unconscious smile to his lips. Glimpses of brown eyes and pink lips linger in his mind—so familiar, so vivid. But something nudges his shoulder, tugging him gently from the haze. At first, he groans, burying himself deeper into the pillows in a futile attempt to hold onto the dream. Whatever it is can surely wait. It doesn't. “Hyung,” a soft, familiar voice whispers, cutting through the fog, followed by another nudge, this one more insistent.

Minho watches, dumbstruck, as Seungmin jumps to his feet with a happy little noise and starts dancing. Not just dancing, Minho realizes, heat dangerously pooling in his gut. Seungmin is cheerleading.

He’s cheerleading. Seungmin is cheerleading. Maybe if he repeats it enough times, he can convince himself it’s real and not some heat-addled hallucination his subconscious conjured just to ruin him.
