&. NOTE !
so i realized that i have yet to do the starters that i owe from my follow post! as a reminder, if you reblogged it, you are really going to get a starter! also, this post serves as a STARTER CALL ! if you didn’t like it, or maybe we haven’t interacted yet, feel free to give this a like and i’ll write something up for you too!
thank you so much for your patience!!
what sense does it make that a kid coming from a small island of fishermen in south korea would have the name ''reef''??? as a korean i just feel very puzzled???like there's no way im so sorry, maybe ''reef'' in korean, yes? but reef in english,,, not accurate, im sorry ;;
i understand your confusion, and that’s why i was sure to include sections about that in both his profile and his biography! it doesn’t seem to make much sense at all at first, but if you keep what i wrote in mind, i hope it clarifies things more for you.
from his profile: “HIS MOTHER IS KOREAN-AMERICAN, AND MET HIS FATHER WHEN SHE TOOK A TRIP TO JEBUDO. HE’S BEEN STUDYING ENGLISH SINCE CHILDHOOD. HE’S NOT FLUENT, BUT HOPES ONE DAY TO BE. OFTEN GOES BY RI, SEEING AS HIS NAME IS AN ENGLISH WORD AND IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO PRONOUNCE IN THE EASTERN WORLD.”
so you may then wonder, why ‘reef’ for a name anyway? you can find a meaning in his biography, and the meaning is absolutely beautiful: “A FORMATION TYPICALLY TEEMING WITH LIFE, BLOOMING WITH BEAUTY, AND FOSTERING THE DEVELOPMENT OF OTHERS LIVING AMONGST IT.”
i can promise you that i’ve heavily developed this muse and tried my best to make things be as logical and ‘accurate’, as you say, as possible. but please do keep in mind that he is an original character and there is really no real standard he can be compared to (as there would be with a gen muse, for example) in order to see a degree of 'accuracy.’ all i can do is attempt to stay true to the backstory which i have set.
i hope this answer suffices!
What’s your muse’s plant personality?
Take this quiz and post your results ( repost, don’t reblog! )
CHAMOMILE: Easy-going, friendly and well liked, you’ve got a gentle and sweet nature and a calming presence that puts others at ease. Your sensitivity to others may cause you to take on too much of other people’s feelings, though, and you may even be prone to worry.
GINGER: Spirited. A feisty and fiery companion, quick with an opinion, a laugh or an idea. Warm, friendly and inviting, you never allow an awkward moment to pass. In fact, even cold and distant people warm up to you more quickly than others. Negative experiences or too much indulgence, however, can send you into a bit of a tailspin, and when hurt you may become quite cold and distant. Ginger people do best when their natural warmth and affection is flowing freely, giving them easy access to their love of life.
PEPPERMINT: Unflappable. You are cool in the crisis, calm in the storm, collected amongst the chaos. You’re a breath of fresh air, a waft of inspiration to the down-and-out, a refreshing, inspiring, uplifting person to be around. Of course, even a cool cucumber like yourself can run into trouble. You may try to take on too much, which can leave you feeling weighed down and not quite yourself.
