SHIP: mary/regulus obvi

who holds the umbrella when it rains: mary is the one who always seems to have an umbrella, but the job of holding it generally falls to regulus. more often than not mary's happier without one (for a while at least), being the sort of girl who doesn't necessarily mind getting soaked in a torrential downpour. reg think's she's ridiculous but he's wise enough at least to not say anything about it, and the look on his face when she comes back shivering is more than enough to get his point across.

who is the grumpiest in the morning:i'm not really sure if either of them are grumpy so to speak???? regulus has his upbringing hammered in to him and basically functions on automatic until he wakes up properly, whereas mary just wanders about aimlessly or sprawls out across the sofa while her eyes adjust to the light. there's always a pot of tea or coffee involved though.

who worries more when the other is sick/hurt: with the size of mary's family she's really seen more than enough illness and injury for a lot of things to seem rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things. as long as reg has not lost a limb or punctured a vital organ or something she's pretty sure he'll be fine (or in the very least it's much easier to just tell herself that). he really only lets her find out about this sort of stuff once he's recovered, and considering how rarely they actually get to spend any amount of time together it'd be impractical for her to spend all of that time fussing over some bruises and scars. it's really his mental health she's worried about. now all the reasons reg would have to worry about mary are also not going to do either of them any good (though the concern is definitely very real and present). she's likely to put herself in dangerous situations at the drop of a hat.

who plays pranks on the other:umm mary bc she is a huge nerdo really. regulus' specialty is imitations of his brother (they're disturbingly spot on).

who is always the first to suggest cuddling on the sofa: well reg isn't so much of a physical being so to speak, so it's really got to be mary (who would cuddle anyone if they gave so much as a hint of fondness for her really). her idea of supreme comfort involves being warm, cozy and safe so there'd probably be plenty of blankets involved. some kind of cocoon cuddle fest.

who insists on creating nicknames for the other: does regulus even know how to give someone a nickname? i think not. bonus points for mary because hers are mostly just references that the poor boy has very little hope of understanding.

who drools on the other when they’re asleep:probably mary lbr. can you imagine regulus drooling at any time? i bet even unconscious he has complete bodily control he could probably pilot an aircraft in his sleep.

who says 'i love you' first: mary says it first, while they're still just words and still don't really mean anything - a sort of throw away comment that she assumes will soon be forgotten. but regulus is the first one to really feel it (though for the longest while he's not so sure what it really is.)
