So, what are your thoughts re: their parents btw??? So ... I get the vibe that they are v controlling/overbearing and have sUPER high expectations, especially for Tom!!!! But I feel like it hasn’t been like that for James? Like, I think that they definitely have expectations and plans, but that there has always been much more freedom for him???? Probably some of it b/c of Tom being so compliant to their wishes!! (either way, I feel like James has no intentions of ever going down that road ... especially after seeing how his brother is doing! I mean, he knows that Tom loves Diana in a way, but that’s not enough!!! I feel like James is also def a romantic haha and he doesn’t hide that about himself. Also!!! He’s loved Lizzie for years but she hates him and Tom actually found a girl who he loved and she loved him back and he shouldn’t let his family get in the way of that!!! and he’s definitely going to try to change his bro’s mind about the wedding b/f it’s too late!!)
also ... i’m so sorry I feel like james is constantly getting himself into these weird situations and tom is probably always the one he calls to help get him out of it????? like that text convo: help i need advice ... n/m i already did the stupid thing has probably happened a million times tbh haha. #facepalm. james tries!!!! v hard not to be such a mess but he can’t help it tbh
anyway james def has always looked up to tom!!! but he definitely has always thought that tom needs to break away from their parents a little more than he has!!
