Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Record - Oaji (Doppel)

The Doppel of selection. Its form is a sodegarami. The owner of this emotion proudly believes that its ability exists to reveal and capture evil, but in truth, it is a Doppel that seeks 6 human sacrifices to plunge into the depths in its owner’s place. No matter how well an adversary hides, its lantern head will expose all beneath the light of day, and its three-pronged claws will drag them down to the bottom of the swamp. The more targets it drags into the swamp, the more powerful this Doppel becomes, but that power is sure to descend upon its owner as a calamity one day. Nevertheless, this Doppel continues to desperately store up power for the sake of eliminating those who would do harm to its owner.

Top 5 doppels in magia based off design not power

5. La Pucelle de Blanchefleur (Darc) - Fancy plate armor = cool. Extra arms = cool. Fancy plate armor knight holding two massive swords while her other hands are clasped in prayer = Extra Cool

4. Oaji (Chiharu) - The colour scheme is really nice; I love the contrast that the lantern glow and the gold reflection/ripples under her add.

3. Ophelia (Kyouko) - Ophelia’s design has always been good, and I love how they did her in magireco! Her robe is so elaborate and vivid, and Momo’s head on the “horse” is a neat (and unsettling) touch.

2. Gibdaughter (Kanae) - Her design as a massive metal bird with steel pipes for feathers is fantastic on its own, and then the veil Kanae gets just ties the whole concept together. The summon for this one is pretty badass, too- Kanae cuts off(?) her own thumb (the hand over her chest), and it gets replaced by a pendulum instrument while her severed thumb becomes the doppel’s body.

1. Catacombe (Kanagi) - Probably my favorite doppel design in the game; it’s just so cool. She’s a four-armed lion with a billowing mane, gold teeth, and a necklace of skulls who wields a tarnished sword in each hand; what’s not to love? And I don’t want anything bad to happen to Kanagi, but if her doppel looks this good already, her full-on witch form would look incredible. She also has one of my favorite summon animations.
