Three Legged Oak Side Table

Handmade three legged European oak side table, finished in a Swedish hard wax.

Continuing with the Scandinavian inspiration, I have built this side table. It is a delicate simple design, I have made it with slender turned oak legs. They are fixed tightly in the centre of the table top with a sharp angle to give strength and stability. The top itself is solid oak and has been tapered on the underside to the edge, giving the table a slim profile and light look.

Like all the pieces I make it has been made by hand with traditional tools. They are hand planed and cabinet scraped to create a smooth surface. Hand cut tenons with contrasting wedges are used to secure the legs into position. The timbers I use are reclaimed and each piece has a unique character in the grain, shade and texture. These natural features vary in each piece of timber which in turn makes each piece individual.

The dimensions are:

L:25cm

H:48cm

W:25cm

As with all our products this stool can be made bespoke to your needs. It can be reproduced in various timbers such as Ash, Walnut, Beech, Cheery, Birch, reclaimed timber and many others. It can also be made to various sizes and finishes (gloss, Matt, stained) to suit your personal preference.
