Hello, all-
Heads up that in a few days I'll be going relatively low-activity. I'll be under promise for six weeks to speak, read, and write nothing but French. This means that you'll see little to no text in anything that I post (since I'd like for this blog to remain anglophone), and I won't really be reblogging anything.
I will, though, be staying on here, since I've found a way to auto-translate my entire browser and all the text that appears in it (it's... a little weird sometimes, but hey, it works). So I will still be interacting here and there, just significantly less.
Another update: it took some thinking, but I've decided that I Will be participating in Art Fight, as well. My profile still isn't set up all the way, but I've got the same username there. Hope to see some of you there! I'll make a proper profile post for that once I've gotten it polished up. You'll be seeing that in the next few days.
I'm normally quite chatty about everything of mine that I post, so it'll be pretty different not saying anything. Call it an exercise in moderation or something.
So- I'll be around in full English-mode for a couple days or so yet, but be aware! French-mode imminent.
Work is approaching the last stages on the bellhome, which means I'm building up the workshop. So I now must know: mutuals especially, what are your favorite tools? I'm going to model them in miniature and put them on shelves or hang them on the walls. What I currently have are:
-Cogflies
-Tacks
-Polyp Pouch
-Fractured Mask
-Straight Pins
-Longpins
-Throwing Rings
-Pimpillos
-Cogwork Wheel
The Silkshot (Mount Fay version) will get a place of honor, as it's my personal favorite. I won't be doing All tools, and some would be too small to model effectively while keeping believably in-scale with the others (like maybe the dice, anklets, and Ascendant's Grip, other favorites), but I'm curious to hear what other people would like to see.
Okay- I've arbitrarily decided that it's time for a new small Silksong figure project. I'm thinking along the lines of making enemies/creatures now. Here are my favorite ideas; which is Tumblr's favorite?
.
Skarr scout
Reed
Tiny cogflies for the Hornet figure
Remake the Hornet (I've wanted to do this for a while now)
Something else (do tell)
No guarantees- I may end up having made something else entirely different by the time this poll is over, anyway. But I'm interested in what all of you would like to see.
(If you're new to my work, here's a post with all of the figures I've made so far.)
Not that I need any other project ideas currently, but- if I were to pick up needlefelting again. Just theoretically. New Lace, or new Yi? I've done both before, but they'd be on an altogether higher level now...
Bellhome is finished! Expect the post tomorrow. (/Later today, depending on your time zone.)
Hello-
I'm a sculptor/crafter who makes stuff and reblogs posts that I like. You'll see a mix of mediums, as I like to try new stuff and have experience in a pretty wide range of subjects, but I generally stick to earthenware sculptures for the most part. I also do plenty of smaller crafty things, though, often in the form of miniatures and needlefelt. I do a lot of fandom work, but you'll probably see original projects from time to time.
Do not repost my art without permission or you will be thrown into the pit of despair. I will do something comparably unpleasant to you if you use my work for AI training. Begone.
#Oakishly:tm:- all my various projects, ranging from sculptures to miniatures to felted things to watercolors.
Alright, bellhome post may yet happen!
