He's been trying ( and failing ) to find his way up, and though they're in a quieter alley it's something of a miracle they haven't attracted attention. " Aye, well, th'last time we was on bloody world savin' adventures, we was ten years younger an' I had better knees, " he grouses, grumbles, hisses between his teeth. It's all bluster, really; they slowed down some, sure, but they never stopped the fight. It's in their blood, it's what they do.

He's still about as agile as a bull, though.

" C'mere an' give me a hand up, " he huffs, taking a step back to crane a look up, up at the side of the building. " Ten years ago I could've made it. You know I coulda made it. " No he couldn't.

Vigor hits the floor before he can begin to wonder how it happened, and even then, as he gently tries to regain his balance, he's at a loss for answers. More than anything, it was the surprise that shook Vigor. He'd only had a few drinks, but clearly underestimated the content. Used to gently sipping on offered drinks, Vigor had only been tipsy only a handful of times. This, however, was an entirely new experience for the man.

      The chairs and the tables felt suffocatingly close, while the route to his bed, which was just across the hall, seemed an impossible trek. It didn't help that the room began to spin as he stood up, leaning on Aksel for support. How did people do this regularly? And why do some enjoy this experience? It seemed there was a thin line between feeling unburdened from his troubles to creating new ones, marked by only a few sips of too-strong mead.

      ❝You ok?❞ Vigor whimpers into Aksel's shoulder, holding himself steady with an arm across his friend's chest. ❝I'm not, I'm not poisoned. I think I'm just bad at this...❞ he whispers and titters, at least able to laugh at himself, if nothing else.

It wasn't as though he was wrong about that, and while she did have the good sense at least to appear sheepish, she knew she would do the same again. Her curiosity tended to get the best of her in the worst of moments, and she really didn't mean the behavior maliciously. At the same time, it seemed quite clear that Aksel was not at all amused by her particular choices.

“I'll have you know that I am very sorry if you're offended,” Eve began, shaking her head a little and then looking him in the eye, “however, I think that it might be warranted in this case to at least take a peak and make sure that everything is on the level. If it is, I will be the first one to apologize.”

There's a frustration deep in their tone, hands gripping at the bars and rattling as cerulean cracks grant a dim glow to them. Least, perhaps if she could rage, she could break the bars and find an escape out of -

astarion cannot roll his eyes any further, they would pop out of his head if they did, hand on his hip, moved to a side. "oh you know, all this useless do goodery tends to sour the mood for me. did you not even think of asking for something in return, darling? at this point we are surely on our merry way to become faerun's errand boys." rarely is astarion in a good mood, and aksel has this funny little way of just getting to his nerves. he doesn't dare to do much than complain, he would not admit it outloud, but aksel has very well taken in a leader role in this group of theirs. astarion knows he would not be great, but how he wished his companion would just stop it with helping others for no good reason. it's a constant reminder of how others have it better, how others have luck and are given grace when he has had none in over two hundred years. but he'd rather get stabbed than to admit to the fact, to the reality of his situation.

I enjoy the amount of work gone into Aksel's backstory. The fact that his father used him as a sacrificial lamb is very delicious and makes one wonder what happened with his father (might need to dig on that). I also enjoy reading her interactions with @oathwilled when I get the chance. They have a very good word flow together, complimenting each other's writing styles very well. I haven't gotten to interact much with her OOC, but she seem to be friendly from what I've seen!

I have spoken to her OOC before, in fact we apparently had each other's discords from my time in the DARP community. Very friendly and fun to talk to, but I know very busy right now so I'm hoping everything's going well with the move! She has a very good variety of muses, which can easily be melded with and work together. Also Gwenifar is going to defend her Gale if you try to blame him for Astarion being a brat again, Colette! But very looking forward to plotting other ways for our muses to mesh together.
