was thinking about it earlier and realized in the years i’ve had this blog, i’ve had or at least discussed ships with Maglor, Celegorm, and Feanor.... like damn gurl, get it.
♕ ( from dog son --- gaia i would actually have to /look up/ his login info isn't that s ad )
♕ for a kiss of swearing fealty.
« They come from the south », his son yelled, a hand grabbing his horse’s mane and his hound running at his side.
Fëanáro’s horse reared, neighed, and a heavy wind, filled with ashes, blew in his face. He tightened the hold of his legs around his mount’s sides and turned towards Turcafinwë, now by his side, whose eyes were wild and urgent; the vanguard circled them in a cloud of dust.
« The birds above screech of the horde that advances. They would flank us, father, but I know where they are, and Huan shall guide me to them. Let me take my people and captains with me, let us turn our enemies into prey. »
He breathed the foul scent of blood into his lungs, and his son’s path shone in his thoughts, poured into his mind directly from Turcafinwë’s. A few seconds of understanding pulled together the threads of a plan and Fëanáro eventually raised his chin high and clasped his son’s pauldron that he himself had forged. « Marshal your troops », he ordered.
His son caught his hand before it could return to the horse’s neck, he caught it and held it, and then raised it to his face. Turco placed a kiss on his gauntlet, given with a solemn frown, with a wrinkle of tension at the root of his nose and with a light of pride beaming upon his face.
Fëanáro’s breath quivered. One’s heart is uplifted when it recognises sincerity and yet his was caught in a tight hold. It was no night for soothing feelings, no. It was a night of war.
« Go, my hunter child », he said, in a low, gravelly voice. « Bring me their heads as a trophy. »
oathsayer
“They say you rode with the Huntsman. That he taught you things.”
They say many things about Celegorm that intrigue him less and unsettle him more. If not for him and his kin Doriath might have stood another ten, another fifty years before it was laid ruin, and it might have been orcs not elves who brought slaughter to the Thousand Caves. This he knows, and he knows also that though long ago those deeds are neither forgotten nor amended, and they can never be.
So he could be angry, and his anger would be justified. But it would lead to nothing.
“Is it true?”
Can I just say how excited I am about the idea of RPing with oathsayer again? I made Alagos as a plot point in Bel’s history but the thing with Tyelko came about organically with her particular Tyelko alone. And I never thought I’d have an OTP for Bel, but lo! There’s one and they give me all kinds of feels. I cannot stress enough how important her Tyelko has become to Bel’s history.

BEGONE HUNTSMAN
HC + Bel + Birds + Huan
It is no secret that Belenwen favors birds. She was taught how to hunt on horseback and with hounds but she was also taught falconry and that was where her heart soared, pun intended.
( the following part of the headcanon is dependent upon oathsayer‘s depiction of Tyelko )
Tyelko gifted Nórima with an egg for her begetting day one year. It was no ordinary egg but one of a great golden eagle. She was able to tend to the egg and nurtured the bird from the day it hatched until it died. It was the only time she ever formed such a bond with any of her birds and it is why she has yet to form the same bond again. The loss hurts too much. However, that relationship and complete trust and understanding between them led to a powerful hunting duo. Its large size allowed for them to take on larger game than other falconers.
However, it was also because of her friendship with Tyelko and their competitive nature with one another that they often set out on the hunt together. He was sure that his hound, a favored hound and gift from Oromë would certainly best any mere bird. She had saw fit to have her bird presented to the likes of Eonwë and Manwë during a festival in their honor, she wanted it to feel welcomed there. For that, she felt that her partner was as equally blessed by the Valar as Huan and was an equal competitor.
It seemed that the competitive nature of their handlers rubbed off because Huan and the eagle (I really need to find a proper name for this special one) were endlessly at odds with one another. He would snap his jaws at the bird or chase after it, the eagle would peck or swoop at him in return. In truth, Nórima encouraged it from time to time but she also saw fit to pamper Huan whenever she could to make up for any wrong doings.
