Do you have an otp/fav ship in Ateez? And if yes, is there a reason you're drawn to them? 💝

my two favs are yunwoo and sanhwa!

i love yunwoo bc they are both so chaotic but when they come together they seem to calm each other down. they both love skinship and are both the type to worry about others before themselves. they have such soft hearts and i can't help but wonder how they express that between each other.

sanhwa i love for just how gentle they are with each other. even when play fighting they're very aware of each other and not going too far. san seems to be in seonghwa's dorm as much as his own. idk there's just something very tender about their dynamic that puts this warm gooey feeling in my stomach. they're def a comfort ship for me.

omg so it was a journey - i've been an atiny almost 2 years now. this blog has always been my personal blog but i was super focused on BL dramas at the time. i was writing a fanfiction for the drama kiseki: dear to me and there was an 'our story' edit i would watch for little reminders of the chars stories. the music the person used for it was all ateez songs lmao

i didn't really think about it too much. i liked the songs fine. and then one day i saw a gifset of bouncy san all beat to shit and as tumblr knows i love a pathetic man covered in blood. i initially thought it was a scene from a BL and went WHO IS THAT and saw it was once again ateez lol

i took that as a sign and went to watch my first music video - say my name - and realized there was a clear storyline going on there.

my friend bugged me to talk to a mutual friend (tho more acquaintance on my side kinda) and we hella bonded over ateez and she pulled me into the world of kpop. now she's p much family and every 6 months or so i fly to visit her and bug the shit out of her (and usually go to a concert or something lol)

and now i'm a deeeep in the loretiny trenches and sometimes hold 5 hr streams explaining the lore lmao

but yeah, the BL to ateez pipeline is real and it can get you (and vice versa lol)

my brand of neurodivergency makes me want to claw my skin off if my hair is touching me at the Wrong Time* and a bonnet is the perfect way to fix that when i'm sleeping or it's too hot to put on a beanie (my hair is just barely too short to tie up entirely)

i go into it a little bit -> here <- but i can delve a little deeper lmao

so once i was into ateez i jumped into a group chat with prev acquaintance/eventual best friend and the 3 of us just started fucking YAPPING about kpop. best friend (peaches, you'll see me talk about her a lot on here lol) then force fed me different kpop groups like i was a goose and she wanted to make foie gras.

she's been a shawol for 17+ years so it was just natural for me to become a shawol via exposure therapy lmao - we then learned i tend to gravitate towards older groups. (it's nice to know they're full grown adults.) probably something to do with the millenial sound idk.

and from there i've just been slooooowly learning new groups and inserting myself carefully into the fandom. and hey, we just got keyland tickets!! looking forward to that~

(so far we've gone to ateez towards the light and i.m off the beat together)
