Scream Queen - Sigourney Weaver
guys i need sci fi media recs so bad im going INSANE!!! especially if its abt space, ai, or cyberpunk in general. i need it injected into my veins, i want it to make me think and question my life too yk? not just any sci fi
THINGS IVE ENJOYED:
scavengers reign
pluto (the anime on netflix but ik id enjoy the manga)
the gene of ai
pantheon
oats studios (LOVED the first episode need shit like that)
just started altered carbon
just bought a book called "womb city" by tlotlo tsamaase

PEAK IS WHAT IVE SEEN AND I CRAVE MORE im open to books, movies, and shows but i crave mental stimuli. i feel like these pieces of medias touched me in a way that a lot of others cant say they have. maybe im looking for something that cannot be replicated, but i want to question the work and have it question me yk?
Oats Studios (2020)
Oats Studios is NOT emetophobia safe.
I just got a text from my mother with an emetophobia warning for Oats Studios.
"Emetophobia warning, oats studios, episode 3, do not watch him eat the sushi"
Thank you, mom!
Covers for the short on Netflix created by (and filed under) Oats Studios, Episode 2: Firebase. Really cool Vietnam War story genre-mashed with horror and mythology/folklore. The end leaves you hanging, but it's still a hell of a short production. Check it out.
Come with us! Do not be afraid! They want what’s best for us! They have built a conservatory for us! Paradise!
Oats Studios: Volume 1 “Rakka” (2017) Directed by Neill Blomkamp Watch it here.
why is zygote like, the only really good thing oats studios has done? like their animation and effects are consistently incredible and you can tell they have a lot of big ideas which should in theory be interesting but every time i try to watch one of their shorts that isnt zygote i feel im watching a video game cutscene and the actual content of the story just totally slides out of my brain. is it me? was zygote just so good that it completely warped my standards for the rest of their creations?? some other third thing???
Poster from episode 1 of the new Oats Studios anthology on Netflix. Pure dark, apocalyptic scifi short story. Crazy-badass digital art throughout with a wicked tale to tell. The end leaves you hanging, but it's jam-packed with morbidly gorgeous stuff. Check it out if this sounds like your kinda thing. It was definitely mine. 🤘👾🤘
