Two week ago, the Lagos state government said they are intensifying their actions to keep Lagos clean, and so they have banned cart and wheelbarrow pushers. These people who are paid with the little monies collected from these cart/wheelbarrow pushers to think and plan the development of the city are saying they are a menace. Funny innit? Now, go to Obalende (an area that once housed the seat of the Nigerian government before it was move to Abuja by Abacha after a coup attempt on him) and the Broad Street (a major road on the Lagos Island) and you'll see rubbish everywhere. My problem is these Lagos city authorities can't even come up with a waste management plan to collect the refuse at these major areas on a daily basis. Some of these people we call leaders are cheap commodities. . . 📷: Nana Osei - 2018 . . #lagos #nigeria #africa #city #lagosstate #government #cartpusher #wheelbarrow #filth #wastemanagement #abacha #obalende #broadstreet #streetstyle #streetphotography #photojournalism #ashantiimmigrant #dynamicafrica #everyafrica (at Lagos State)
