Pres debate: Round 2

When asked what his presidential plans are for the rising rate of unemployed college graduates, Obama made clear that research and technology in investing in greener alternative energy will provide more jobs. All Romney said was his acknowledgement of the issue and never gave a concise answer to the question. 

When Romney badgered Obama about looking at his pension, Obama responded, " I don't look at my pension, it's not as big as yours."

Romney cannot escape his affiliation with the Arizona Law and his self-deportation comment during the primaries. Although Obama has failed to address Immigration reform, he has continually supported the Dream Act, which enables undocumented students to continue studying in the US and obtain citizenship/green card. 

When Obama is described "aggressive" and "angry", Romney was described "confident" and "assertive" when he won the first debate.

When Romney mentioned a 5 point plan that will help the economy, in no way did he clarify exactly what points were included in that plan. 

When asked to clarify the misperception and beliefs of the candidate's campaign, Romney has said nothing in regards to the millions of dollars he has and how much he's saved on tax releases. Obama strategically referred to the 47% comment in the summation of his arguments, not allowing Romney to explain himself.

Overall, between the two candidates, Obama gave concise answers and understood his positions and his opponents positions. Mitt Romney obviously was not on his top game.  I think it's clear who won.

Just admit defeat Republicans. SERIOUSLY

my front yard, campaign season, 2008

SO. as you can see, i was an oh-so-subtle obama supporter in the 2008 presidential campaign. i may have jacked signs from some people (ONLY IF THEY HAD MORE THAN TWO ALREADY OKAY) n taken bunches while volunteering. my über liberal family decided to make a statement. also my sister and i are badass thieves.

then one morning i woke up and found an EMPTY FRONT YARD cue anger-induced heart attack

then i got a phone call from my bff christopher saying "lolz how's your yard looking today?"

he'd hijacked my shit but anyway, i stole them back, beat him up (that part is a blatant lie) n reconstructed my family's shrine to obamarama. crisis averted.

now it's 2012 n shit's going down. i'm ten billion times more anti-romney than i ever was anti-mccain. hate the bastard. seriously, so much loathing for romney/ryan. so. much.

so this time around, instead of making another fence we put up three or four signs - strategically placed where they're close enough to the house so no one else pulls a christopher - but i also took a page out of his book. this year josy and i haven't been promoting obama so much as we've been demoting romney. as in, taking romney supporters' signs down. the trunk of my car is incredibly incriminating n at some point i've really gotta destroy the evidence (i want to burn them but they're plastic, lame).

and then i thought, okay wait, this country was built on freedom of speech/expression blah blah blah, and i remembered how fucking pissed i'd been the morning of the katherine's-obama-fence-heist before my bestie revealed himself to be a devious bastard. i was so angry that someone would do something like that. now part of that was because my sister and i worked hard as shit to do that, i mean we're a corner house do you know how many signs it took?? like forty! it was a project requiring a good deal of time, dedication, mischievous spirit and the willingness to risk felony charges (seriously it's a fucking felony). so fucking with our combined efforts was so not cool n solely forgivable because of 1) my love for my friend 2) the spirit of sneaky nighttime shenanigans and most importantly 3) the fact that within several hours the fence was fully intact once more.

people who care enough about a presidential election to the point that they'll boast their support so shamelessly/proudly are cool. i mean if you're on team romney you're stupid, but it's cool that you care and i respect that. so i kinda feel mean taking people's signs, because that kinda sucks. but at the same time, i'm starting to notice romney signs outnumbering obama ones, and i super loathe that. so i really don't want to see all these fucking promotional images in support of a giant douchebag and his slightly smaller douchebag running mate.

so i thought i'd ask for your input because 3500 minds are better than 1.5 (my sister only has half a brain). should we continue our quest to destroy outward signs of romneyism in northern virginia, or is it overall not cool of us? not gonna lie, i consider the twentyish signs locked in my trunk to be spoils of war. i'm not ashamed of them - quite the opposite - because this whole dilemma didn't really occur to me till after we'd done what we'd done. spilled romney n all that.

what do you guys think? should we keep up our reign of romney destruction? because i totally want to, but my fucking conscience is attempting to interfere and i'd like to shut it up.
