I still remember the first time I saw an OBGMs show.. it was like maybe I wanna say, 10 years ago. They were fun and engaging back then opening for Saul Williams, and they’ve developed that vibe into something next-level now! They’ve always had a distinct style.

I’m listening to how far they’ve come and I could cry.

They used to say, ”Ooohh Baby Gimme Mores that's three o’s, two h’s!” Those dudes were fun and serious about their shit and I like that not a damn thing has changed. I like their direction on this record. You can hear the layers of genre-spanning influences steeped together to deliver whole new tea here.

Black folks bring soul to whatever we do especially when it’s heavy as fuck. It’s our most luminescent quality. It’s why, just like this record, we fucking glow. There’s no half-stepping. The Ends is a big flex follow up to their previous 2017 self-titled record.
