We should be hearing “It’s Wednesday Night at The Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant”. But....we are not 😔, so for my Wednesday edition of missing the 3rd week in June in Jackson, TN. I give you my “Why”. Growing up I was either on the ball field or in the gym playing sports. (Hints my Go Team reply to EVERYTHING) But occasionally you would find me on the stage in a pageant. No I didn’t win them but if I was going to have to go and watch my sister, I thought I might as well get dressed up and be in them as well. So some are very shocked when I say I am a director of a preliminary pageant for the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant. So for my “Why” because I sure don’t do it for myself and live a dream of wearing that crown through our girls. I do it for them. They are my “Why”, they are the reason we travel across the state just to get our hair fixed for MTV week. They are the reason we listen to them sing/play/dance/tap their talent song over and over until it sounds and looks great. They are the reason we raise money for scholarships so that they can be debt free (The Miss Fall Fest Pageants are one of the top Scholarships pageants in the system giving $3000 to our two winners, (if you would like to give call me I would love to talk to you about scholarships opportunities)). They are the reason we do what we do, THEM not me THEM!! So to all our girls, we love you and are so proud of you!!!! . . . . PS Thank You to the CornFest Board for your support! We would not be able to do what we do without you! . . . . @misstennesseevolunteerpag @chrispglenda #misstennesseevolunteer #obioncountycornfest #ourgirls #family (at Carl Perkins Civic Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBj2x2sHX1z/?igshid=157xxilz69v2s
