I absolutly hate nendoroid doll bodies. The joints in the elbows and knees always give out. Ymy bodies are a nice cheap alternative. They have better joints and you can get them in 11cm instead of buying a nendoroid doll body and the "extender" sets.
There are some companies that make sets of blind box bjds that work pretty well too, but the posing is a bit fiddilie, though I haven't tried hot glue sueding the joints. I think the action figure type bodies are better.
Sorry your anon response unlocked my secret hyperfixation. I've been wanting to make custom Disco elysium nendoroids forever and am perpetually stuck in the planing/daydreaming stages
oh ty for the info!! tbh i wanted to make a note about nendoroid dolls being flimsy but as i have no personal experience i fully thought i was projecting just because i think they look flimsy XD good to know!
its so cool to me that there are blind box bjds for like 20-30 dollars nowadays. im deeply interested in the expanding availability and affordability of legit bjds as a bjd enjoyer myself ^w^
