Objects as Narratives
From an email I sent to one of you:
I was just reading your blog and thinking about the note you posted around the challenge of the "all at onceness" of objects. I really like to think about objects as "events". Things that unfold themselves in time. Stories with overt plots and underlying sub-plots. Things that unfold in time.
Wondering if you might be able to productively reconceive your relationship to objects in this way to align your approach to that of how a story unfolds.
Thought others might be thinking about this too.
