Hello objectum folks & tech nonhumans of Tumblr. Important questions are being asked today. Please reblog for science /nf.
I'm curious about something i've noticed:
people who identify as Objectum: do you use it/it's pronouns? are you neurodivergent?
I use it/its, I am ND
I do not use it/its, I am not ND

I do not use it/its, I might be ND

*ND standing for neurodivergent, which may be used to describe someone who is autistic, ADHD, BPD, schizoaffective, DID or plural, etc
*it/its do not have to be your only pronouns, if you only sometimes use it/its or use it with other pronouns please include that as part of your answer
this is not to say that being objectum, neurodivergent, or using it/it's pronouns is bad. I've just noticed that a lot of people who are objectum use it/its and I suspect it's because your gender may correlate to being an object and you may see it/its pronouns as pronouns an object may use, and I've noticed that autistic people are more likely to be objectum and use pronouns that are less "mainstream" than other gender neutral ones, so I wanted to see if there was a correlation . I do not mean for this poll to offend anyone. I am autistic, objectum, and I use it/its as well, just curious :]
Making a poll because I'm curious...
I'm both a selfshipper and objectum. I don't really find myself attracted to fictional characters unless they're objects or mechanical in some way, and I don't really find most IRL objects attractive, either. I'm mainly attracted to fictional and industrial/military machinery... I can't really separate these two identities of mine, even if they are entirely different communities. So, I wonder if anyone else feels similarly?
Are you objectum and a selfshipper? Do those identities intersect?
Objectum, not a selfshipper
Selfshipper, not objectum
Objectum and selfshipper, these identities intersect.
Objectum and a selfshipper, they're separate experiences.
