I don't actually have a problem with objecthead OCs or gijinkas or humansonas of objects or anything like Date Everything. Do I think it's objectum if you're attracted to a humansona of an object, while not actually being into the non-humanized and/or actual-object-in-its-original-form depiction? Not exactly. But I do think there's an overlap somewhere on the venn diagram or under a bigger umbrella term of something like... maybe it could just be an umbrella term called "Anthropomorphic Attraction" (which would include gijinkas, furries and furry adjacents, robots, objectheads, living objects, anthropomorphized objects, etc etc)? Idk. But anyway. It's kinda like how not every objectum person is POSIC and not every POSIC is objectum, not every objectoromantic is objectosexual and not every objectosexual is obectoromantic, not every plushophile is a furry, not every furry is a plushophile, so on and so forth. There's overlaps, though.
Was Date Everything intended as an objectum game? Probably not. Did objectums start playing it? Yeah. Did non-objectums find it and play it and later realize they were objectum? Also yeah. Did music conceptums discover vocaloid or did vocaloid discover music conceptums? Did location conceptums discover they were attracted to locations through countryhumans or hetalia? Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. And there's nothing wrong with any of those things, or the overlap of any of those things, provided the spaces where they don’t overlap as much can still be respectful of each other. Maybe Date Everything or Electric Dreams or Portal GLaDOS or Undertale Mettaton or FNAF Animatronic were different peoples' various different introductions to the concept of Objects As Fuckable, but as long as everyone remains respectful of how people discovered this community and how people learn more about themselves and what objectum means to them personally, while also understanding that my red might not be the exact same colour as your red? Who cares? We're all weirdos here. And we should embrace the diversity of that.
