Why I call myself objektophil / objectophile
... because I'm German. :)
It's the term I "grew up with" and learned to identify as. At least here, it means the same as being objectum. But even if you look for objectophilia on English Wikipedia, you will find the definition that also describes objectum sexuality, with a focus on romantic love and seeing objects as full fledged partners.
I've seen multiple people here say that objectophilia is different from being objectum and refers to purely sexual desire, and that is simply not true - at least not everywhere.
