SO I HAVE BEATEN OBLIVAEON AFTER AN HOUR-PLUS OF RIDICULOUS NONSENSE IN WHICH LEGACY WAS USING FOUR POWERS IN A TURN, THREE OF THEM ACCOMPANIED BY ICE BARRAGES, AND THEN WHEN VOSS STOLE OBLIVAEON’S POWER, WRAITH GOT +8 TO ALL DAMAGE FROM AN OBLIVAEON SHARD, THEN TURNED ALL HER SHIT INTO MURDER MACHINES AND TORE HIM INTO PIECES BEFORE HE EVEN HAD A TURN OF BEING THE BIG BAD.
CAPSULE REVIEW OF THE MODE:
IMAGINE INFINITY WAR AS SCRIPTED IN A COCAINE HAZE WHILE THE WRITING STAFF FROM DEADPOOL KEEP SHOUTING IDEAS THROUGH THE WINDOW.
THAT’S OBLIVAEON.
La Comodora: For, in this final hour, we are all Sentinels of the Multiverse!

Seven years ago, Sentinels of the Multiverse was released at Gen Con. The game came out right as the desire for cooperative gaming was first heating up. Many gamers prefer cooperative games because everybody wins (or loses) together. Sentinels was in the right place at the right time for many p...
I re-checked the release schedule for Sentinels Season 2, and it’s all good - since GTG have announced they’re pretty much done shipping (between 80-90% overall?) that means it’s DEFINITELY okay for Handelabra to release Void Guard as soon as they’re ready, which, given that they’ve been shown off on the livestreams and seem to be working pretty well, must be soon. Then the final expansion, the Oblivaeon release, can only be put out on computer when the hardcopy version is 100% shipped, and I’m Pretty Confident that’s going to happen soon, much sooner than the game will actually be ready on PC (it’s big and complicated!).
So that all means that it can pretty much just be released whenever it’s done! I’m so psyched to watch the development as we see all the new heroes and the environments and, most importantly, the scenario coming to life! And when I get the Void Guard I’m going to kick ten kinds of heck out of La Capitan, because MY WORD is she an irritating boss who could do with being beaten up by some overpowered new supers.
(Tachyon rushes in to battle against Oblivaeon)
Legacy: Devra, no!
Unity: What?
Legacy: Sorry, force of habit. Meredith, no!
(I just want to talk about this bit of Sentinels Canon)
(During the OblivAeon Event, the heroes of this particular Earth are outclassed severely. The foe they're facing destroyed the entire Egyptian Pantheon, and all that came from that fight was proof that OblivAeon could be hurt. So Faye Diamond, the heroine known as Nightmist, who is basically that Earth's sorceror supreme, takes it upon herself to bring help. She uses her own power to supercharge a spell meant to open a portal to somewhere else. But Nightmist isn't just opening one portal to somewhere. She's using her own body as a conduit of mystical energy to open gates to EVERYWHERE. Every universe that has heroes spills into their own, and OblivAeon is defeated because his desire to destroy everything is overwhelmed by Everything's desire to live. OblivAeon is beaten, by the will of the multiverse, channeled through one woman, who gives her all to make sure that all can survive. I just think it's awesome to see a story where it's a woman who saves everyone else.)
I’ve been excited to play Oblivaeon literally since the ARG announcing it
now it is being printed and will probably be getting to backers Q1/maybe Q2 next year
which means optimistically I will get to play the computer version in maybe six months
patience is the least of my virtues
