jesus christ i was gonna say maybe i should watch it again to see what the context was for the images i remember but after that description i'm having second thoughts
this movie defies description honestly. that was just the first few minutes and that’s before she enters...i think the killer’s? mind.
i absolutely do not understand how this movie was made, much less given a budget of $33 million and able to cast multiple (relatively) well-known actors. apparently the director is the same one who made the music video for rem’s “losing my religion” and won an award for it. his wikipedia page includes this quote:
“In 2003, Tarsem directed one of the most elaborate Pepsi commercials to date. It combined a gladiator theme with Queen's "We Will Rock You". The commercial starred Enrique Iglesias in the version of the commercial aired in Europe and North America and Amr Diab in the version aired in the Arab world. In the western version, Iglesias plays the role of an emperor hoarding Pepsi with Britney Spears, Pink, and Beyoncé Knowles all playing similar roles of gladiatrices about to engage in combat for the emperor's and crowd's entertainment. Ultimately the gladiatrices turn against the emperor and throw him from his seat. On the other hand, Diab's version shows the gladiatrices being attacked by a lion after the emperor realizes their intentions.”

omg as a kid i saw like half an hour of that movie and i don't remember any entrails but i remember the horse and someone slowly drowning & just that much terrified me
fuck i forgot about the horse! it’s playing on hbo right now, and it’s intercutting scenes of jlo smoking a joint and watching cartoons with a serial killer bathing a female corpse in milk, then taking off his shirt to reveal a million hooks in his back that he attaches to chains to dangle himself above the corpse while jacking off to the video of her drowning in a clear locked box that was slowly filling with water. there’s also something with a comatose child who is afraid of a bogeyman and she keeps connecting to his brain via...some weird muscle-like suit and a cloth over her face which allows her to enter his mind which is apparently a desert filled with broken ships. i think i remember her dressed in some sort of padme amidala-meets-dominatrix costume at one point?
also here’s the scene where apparently vince vaughn gets disemboweled
14, 28?
14. Who was your first celebrity crush?faith from buffy i think? tho if cartoons count it’s probably embarrassingly she-ra
28. What gay or lesbian stereotype(s) do you fit?i prefer my hair shorter, i like hiking, love cats, i’ve been working my way towards vegeterianism, and i don’t really shave my legs.
