Beginnings of Obscurae
So, for on again and off again throughout the years I've toyed with making a fantasy setting. Each time that I've gone through and delved into a new fantasy place, a new DnD game, or just been browsing I find things that I've enjoyed and done. Hell, right now I've got a small 2 Player Campaign that you can find linked below that has me doing something in my 7 years of TTRPGs that I hadn't done; run a stereotypical Dungeons and Dragons game. This was hardly the first attempt, with several non-started campaigns and a few that never got as far as I would've liked.
One of those was Obscurae, a game that I ran back in the day when I was beginning to play with dark fantasy as a concept. It existed in between the veils of other realms, and most of it's native sentient residents had come from disasters in other worlds and building homes in the realm. Kobolds had come from the ruined carcass that had been an extraordinarily large dragon and built the main city around the bones. Humans had come from the sinking of Atlantis, Leonin had come here in search of a great hunt, etc. For the handful of sessions that it ran, it gave a spark of something more to work with. Fast forward to about a month ago, and I'm looking at re-doing some things and tying a few different creative ideas. I went and remade the 2P main map for the game, and wanted to change a little how the layout worked. And with thinking, my mind drifted both to this and another, name forgotten setting about a god of life "dying" and corrupting the lands and peoples of a fairly standard fantasy world into something more. So after realizing a few things, I've decided to keep the name of Obscurae for the setting. A world of myth and monsters locked into a place in between places by a series of mists connected to each other. No longer just tied into a game, but to be built up into a place of stories to be properly told. I've got a few maps in the works to bring back that shall be posted soon, regions that are tied together into one large area that fight back the mists and carved out into their own wondrous and deadly settings. It will be a workshop in progress, bones to be built into a world that feels both majestic and haunting. Curse of the Obsidian Scourge, a 2 Player 5e Dungeons and Dragons game, currently active every other Saturday. 1 2 3 4 5

Alphinaud: What is my character’s greatest dream/aspiration? & Tataru: What does my character find cute? c: (@mythrilstrike)
A’rihnn’s greatest dream is one that he will never complete: to explore all of Eorzea and find everything it has to offer.
He realizes that literally no one can accomplish this, so to him, as long as he does his best, that’s good enough.
He finds a variety of things cute. Small, fluffy animals, children (sometimes), cute people, adorable actions and words that people can do, tiny pastries made into funny little shapes, funky flora and fauna…
He’s not the most fervent seeker of cuteness, but his appreciation for cute things is great.
