Having owned and loved my line 6 DL4 (only ever used for looping, couldn't stand the quality of the delays) I've never found another looper that can do all the things it can do in the same way. Bit hesitant to get another DL4 at the price it is after it went down recently. I really need a looper that can use reverse and half time effects AT THE SAME TIME and have a dedicated stop switch- THAT I would fork over ca$h for. Wether or not the new tc X4 can do both at once is gonna be the test...
I know this feel perfectly. I seriously have no idea how this hasn’t been addressed by someone. I used to run three DL4s, and the amount of people that have sent me nearly this same ask is remarkably high. Unfortunately, from the info I’ve found so far, it doesn’t look like the Ditto X4 can run two fx at once. Which is a tad stressful because the half speed, reversed loop sound is awesome for sound spaces and if you could use them both AND the loop decay feature that device would be remarkable.
The functionality of the x4 looks really dope, and I’m super glad I didn’t just buy an X2 like I had planned. The X4 is on my list regardless.
Might just need to find a cheap used DL4, man. Unless there is something I’m missing with the X4 that allows two or more FX at once.
