so I found the full transcript of that article where marc comes out as bi and they ask him about the film Obsession so not only do we got some more details on the film we also get marc’s answer to “would you kill someone irl?” lol anyway here’s a snippet

* filming this movie was the reason marc had to live in monte carlo for a while lol totally not tax evasion purposes

* marc’s character (the pyscho killer) has sexual problems, sells dope, kills 3 people and ends up in a nuthouse. He’s also hypersensitive and unemotional

* david niven’s character is called Rendel, he marries the psychotic‘s mother and it looks like there’s some oedipal/freudian shit going on and then she dies and he snaps and develops some sex aversion type thing (?) were he can’t touch anyone idk but it’s giving buffalo 66

* there’s lots of violence between marc & david’s characters

* it’s NOT a musical, but has a “robert redford touch”

* marc was chosen because he’s a rockstar and david niven is a hollywood legend and that combo just made so much sense apparently

and kinda apropos of nothing marc mentions going over the edge and all the rockstar pressure and contemplating suicide which ummm ARE YOU OK!? 😩😭😩 then he mentions reincarnation and being a 16th century cavalier.

truly i want to start fandom posting about obsession 1975... may i ask if we can determine a name for marc's character (because as far as i know he never said if there was one)? some suggestions off the top of my head errrr... monty? clem? francis? noel? not sure really what vibe i'm going for just ones i can imagine fitting... other fans of the very real movie obsession 1975 please help
