“Obsiiiii~ Can't you stay put for one minute?”
“But I need to work on Zircon's new blade! They lost their previous one!”
“Nooooo.... Stay! For! One! Minute! I need your measurements for Project-Give-Every-Gem-Their-Own-Special-Casualwear-2000!”
“You've done this before, like, literally a decade ago, Beryl! Let me go! My work is important!”
“This! This! Is! Important!”
The sound of yelling, clinks and sobbing coming from Red Beryl's atelier is loud and it echoes all throughout the school, but no gem dares help the poor swordsmith for the fear that the maniacal fashion designer might peg them as their model next, when they're done with Obsidian (and Rutile on the line).
“Beryl! Please.... That blade isn't going to make itself!” Obsidian pleads, eyes full of desperation, but what is that compared to Beryl's sheer determination?
Red Beryl simply does not waver, and tugs Obsidian back inside, even though the swordsmith already had one foot outside their atelier just a few moments ago.
Zircon should learn to use their fists the next time a Lunarian appears.
Or maybe resign to their fate of getting shattered.
Obsidian surrenders, and feels their soul leaving their body when Red Beryl pulls out the umpteenth outfit creation from their humble abode. “Okay! I want you to wear this one, Obsi~!”
