Oohooho angsty ask game

#17 with Buzzer pleeeeeaaaassee

The way this was a hard question really shows how I treat my characters but - worst thing I've put it through lore-wise ,,

I could go basic and say war (bc he was in WW1, both as a soldier and a medical aid) , but the answer is probably the period after that

When Buzzer was away at war, Martínez (Rosetta's creator, Buzzer's adoptive father of sorts) died which made Rose a little crazy bc she was really attached to him. When Buzzer came back not only did he come back to someone who was really important to him being dead, but also to his sibling being a little sick in the head

She didn't give him much time to recover before taking him with her out of their hometown and becoming musicians together - as music was something Rose was built to do and this was her perfect excuse to fuck off to somewhere else. He was the vocalist and she played the acoustic guitar

It was okay for a little while - fun, even - but music isn't something Buzzer really enjoys doing, plus the way his throat is built makes it so his fangs scrape against his voice box, making it slowly lose it's ability to work properly (his voice is still a little fucked). This is also around the time Rosetta becomes an alcoholic (bc she can't get over anything) so he has to deal with that too-

In the midst of their travels he gets to meet Janka, who (besides Spring occasionally being there) is his only friend - they have the beginning of a little love story but Janka is treated as an object by whoever owns her, so she's eventually taken away - they find each other again later but yeah

It just really sucked for a while until he got the courage to tell Rosetta to go to hell and do his own thing jdbsnz
