tell me about ariya and how you developed her character!
Oh! So she is from my fic Of Soldiers and Senators which is loosely based on Pride and Prejudice. She and Thire are my Jane/Bingly couple.
Her character is very sweet and thoughtful. She is Riyo’s senatorial aide and best friend since they were kids. She is very loyal and takes great care of Riyo. Ariya keeps her well fed, well rested and on time (most of the time). She’s also kind of a badass. Not only is she super organized, she defends herself from bounty hunters and even saves a clone trooper’s life.
Her weakness is that she’s a little too ready to trust people (Riese...), and maybe a bit afraid to stand up for herself when you are she has an idea that opposes Riyo.
Her and Thire have a super sweet relationship and I just love them together. I imagine Thire as a bit of a flirt and she is too so together they are just super fluffy! 🥰
Oh! And fun fact: she is my first OC! Of Soldiers and Senators was my very first fic and though it’s not perfect, I love it because I learned so much and had so much fun writing it!
