If I don’t infect Bark, when they meet Ghost the poor moth thinks he’s finally gone insane and is hallucinating because for a moment the vessel looks like Hollow when they were both young.

HK Ever is named Bark and he served in the white palace for a while before the infection returned.
Here’s the moth’s ref before I post the mass of sketches and ramble about his lore. I based him loosely on a bogong moth :3
When he ultimately gets infected he remains as harmless as he always has been. Instead of shambling around he’s often just sitting in front of where the palace once stood and just crying, completely inconsolable, muttering about the past or lost, wondering where the Pure Vessel has gone.
Despite the king’s wishes he had formed some level of a bond with Hollow before they were sealed in black egg temple. Which eventually had developed into a crush which Bark never acted upon until after everything passed.
I choose to use the godhome ending for him so after he comes out of the dream he’s been lost in for years, he aimlessly wanders around hollownest without a home. When he eventually meets the vessel again, Hollow he’s more than elated because not everything he knew is completely gone.
