Oh God, wait a second. From which universe/story? Which of these things actually got far enough that I gave them ages? What-- WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES-- WAIT

Okay. So. Her name is Ida and she came to me in a dream.

... She isn’t much like she was in the dream at this point. The dream was a musical (I know her name because somebody else belted it near the end) and I think she was a human, probably, but not anymore?

But she’s like, a weird shapeshifty book monster who’s just gained sentience, so she’s like less than a year old. She’s shaped like a little human or a doll of sorts when she isn’t actually book-shaped, because she can, um, shapeshift. But her body is made of the pages, and the book bindings sort of arrange into what looks like an oversized cloak (which she can use to glide, by spreading it out so it catches air like a parachute). And I think she has googly eyes?

And more recently I think I gave her the ability to travel through written language-- like, if there’s an open book, she can jump into it and move through it and the surrounding books like a conduit until she pops out another open book nearby. Same type of deal applies to signs, wall writing, etc. And she picks up languages from doing this, although at first she doesn’t realize they’re different at all.

Originally I was gonna have the government force (or whatever remained of it) pull her in to work with a team, but now I think it works better if the government sent the team to round up/detain all the weird homunculus things like her, so she has to fight them. Hm.

... I haven’t done much with her in a while.
