Is it just an emotional state thing, like if a positively charged one went through a particularly traumatic event and went through a Villain Arc they'd become negative, or is there more to it?

i think i'll be calling this character ChiRo from now on - derived from chiroptera, the scientific order of bats, but pronounced "chee-roe"
