Trying to list which Corries would say ‘whoopsiedoodle’ and which would not.

So:

Pup- yes

Icecap-yes, though usually it’s oopsiedoodle and followed by a loud crash from the supply room.

Hound-yes

Stone-no

Fox-yes but only when nobody can hear him and he blames his little siblings

Thire-no

Thorn-yes

Fix- he was ok with it until Skinsuit said it during a surgery… it is now banned from med bay.

Skinsuit- yes, except when in med bay, thanks Fix.

Cirque-yes

Reef-no

Tundra-no

Slinky- definitely

Velt- no

Mac-no

Kagi-no

Glimmer-no

Shap- absolutely, coined the phrase.

Three new Corries for you all.

Firstly we have Reef, another biome Corrie. She has long hair she bleaches blonde and got her name after Tundí read an article about coral reefs on Mon Cala being bleached. Ink made a joke about the corals being bleached just like her hair and Reef became her name. Reef has fantastic music taste, her vode will disagree but she knows her taste is good. She also helps a few other vode grow herbs for the bases cooks to bring some flavour to their nutrimush.

Secondly we have Icecap. Icecap learned glaciers exist and never looked back, though he’s yet to actually see one, it’s his big dream to actually see one. Well, it’s his big dream to go to a university and study and actually get to work studying them, but he tries to be realistic. Icecap was crushed to realise that another term for a Cirque glacier was a Corrie and that he’d missed it when he chosen his name, but he stuck with Icecap. He decided to save Cirque for someone who needed it.

Icecap named Cirque a month after he joined the Guard.

Cirque came from a front line battalion but was reassigned to the Guard after a hip injury that left him desk bound. He struggled with fitting in, with adjusting to his new disability and the truth about what was happening in the Guard and he found himself really struggling to feel like he belonged or get over his guilt. Especially the guilt, because in his mind he still considered himself GAR and the GAR had only made things harder for their Corrie vode.

His old name didn’t fit, he couldn’t do the things he’d always been able to do, didn’t have the friends he’d always had. That version of him was gone. But this new version of him didn’t feel right either, he didn’t feel like he deserved to socialise with the Corries or that they’d have wanted him there when he was an outsider, a part of the GAR that had been bullying them totally ignorant of the truth. He was really struggling to see himself as one of them.

But Icecap is very stubborn, especially about looking after vode who spend a lot of time alone and don’t lean on the support their vode offer, and firstly Cirque made the mistake of letting Icecap inside his guard. Icecap named him Cirque, for a powerful body of ice constrained by its environment but able to shape the landscape it had access to. It took a few days for Cirque to discover another name for a Cirque was a Corrie, but he actually found he liked it. For the first time since arriving, it felt like it fit.

Icecap being a literal ray of sunshine who adores learning everything he can and telling anyone who will listen about everything he’s learned and always trying to be positive and helpful. Icecap who works as a Quartermaster in the Corrie base. Icecap who never wants anyone to feel alone. Icecap dreams of seeing a real life glacier and of making sure his other vodes dreams come true and he buries all his fears and doubts and insecurities deep down in favour of a sunny personality. Icecap always being where Hound and Pup need him to help out and always trying to make sure they have access to what they need. Who managed to get Cirque a chair with wheels instead of stubs for his desks so he could spin and slide around the room. Who helps Cirque through his nightmares from the front lines.

Cirque being a tired grumpy ex-GAR vod who made the mistake once of letting Icecap talk to him and now has a best friend he didn’t really ask for but will also kill for without hesitation. Cirque may have massive issues with mobility now but he would absolutely take out anyone who even tried to insult or harm Icecap. Will sit and work on his mountains of data work while Icecap sits on his desk and tells him talks. Who doesn’t let Icecaps insecurities drag him down but also makes sure he has someone to go to where he doesn’t have to be sunny and can be upset or scared or hopeless. Who paints a Glacier onto the wall their bunks are pressed against copied from a book (the one Icecap said was his favourite holo) so Icecap could see it every night.

Icecap callieng them the Glacier Gang and Cirque pointing out there’s two of them. Icecap dragging a shiny who then chooses the name Moraine into it and Cirque continuing to protest he did not agree to this while being totally ready to destroy anyone who mocks it or Icecap or Moraine or any new member they might gain from his desk.

Them sharing the double bunk, because Corries have their bunk room layer out with all the bunked pushed into 2s for warmth and not wanting to be alone. They have one wall (with the painting) and fabric on the other three, the end two separating from the next bunks in the line and the edge one from the rest of the room, the walk space and next row. Them having the bottom bunk and a slot for Cirques walking stick and another for Icecaps books and the fabric on the long edge having Glacier Gang sewn onto it. Them having enough space for anyone else who joins Glacier Gang (Cirque still did not agree to it being called that).
