WC OC Rambling #1: Cobweb/Webpaw (PT One)
Cobweb is one of the most important OCs I have ever made. He was not my first, but he has taken up a good portion of my life. He has three full length fanfiction novels written in his perspective, and one full length that he is a major side character in. I began writing his story in 7th grade and finished his final major role in 11th. He is a white cat with black splotches and a single green (left) eye. He is missing his right eye.
Cobweb was born to Violet(paw) and Kodi, two cats who lived in twolegplace. When his uncle Troy demanded that Kodi rejoin his former rogue group, Violet fled twolegplace with Cobweb and her other kit, Rose.
Sheltering in the forest, Violet was killed by two DarkClan cats, Lynxheart and Whitetail, leaving Cobweb and Rose alone. They survived well enough together until a small pack of dogs came through and attacked. Rose was killed and Cobweb was torn up, half of his face tattered and his right eye gone. He was found by a DarkClan patrol and taken in.
He soon learned that Lynxheart and Whitetail were gone, and was given the choice to stay in DarkClan and become a medicine cat apprentice. He agreed, and an elderly medicibe cat named Clearwhisker became his mentor. Upon visiting StarClan, he learned that Violet was once a PlainClan cat and now lived amongst the ancestors. Cobweb was then renamed Webpaw.
Webpaw did well as a medicine cat and befriended a cat named Goldpaw. Things were well until StarClan delivered a message warning of two cats, one after the other, whom would destroy the Clan. Violet would visit him in dreams and try to convince him to leave the Clans. Eventually, StarClan was completely silent to him. Fearing that he would not be believed, he told no one of the prophecy.
A kit was born, named Tigerkit (listen I was in 7th-8th grade when I wrote this book) who matched the description that Webpaw was given by StarClan. According to the prophecy, she would bring about the second cat to destroy the Clan. Webpaw assumed that if she couldn't usher in the next cat, then all would be fine.
Desperate, afraid for his Clan and feeling as though none would understand or take him seriously, Webpaw resorted to murder. He poisoned Tigerkit with holly berries. DarkClan caught him in the act and exiled him.
