CW: manipulation, tricked by fae

‘Who are you, what do you want from me?’ Devin rasped and stumbled backwards.

This person, whoever it was, was nothing but terrifying and all he wanted was to get away from them.

‘My name doesn’t matter,’ they replied and put a hand on Devin’s shoulder, ‘...since you’re going to call me Master anyway.’

‘I certainly won’t!’ the young man spat and brushed the other one’s hand away with a disgusted expression on his face. ‘I’m going home now. Thank you for helping me, but I can’t stand being treated like this.’

He turned around and started walking away when the mysterious person spoke up again.

‘Devin, stay.’

He tried to ignore it, but a strange kind of force seemed to drag him back to the well and the figure beneath it although he really didn’t want to go back. This person was scary and he didn’t want to talk to them a single minute longer - all that talk about calling him Master was more than creepy. And still, his feet wouldn’t move as he tried to leave the clearing.

‘What is this?’ he asked, his voice a mixture of anger and anxiety.

‘These woods belong to me and my people - by entering our realm without permission you violated laws that are older than your country and now you’re going to atone for that by becoming my servant.’

Devin’s eyes went wide. For the first time he looked directly at the creature in front of him and tried to find an explanation for all this. When it finally dawned on him, he took a small step back - his legs still felt as if they wouldn’t carry him anymore if he tried to run, but he wanted to get away as far as possible.

‘Who are you?' he whispered, his voice trembling.

‘I am the Lord of the Forest.’

‘You are… you-’

The young man took a step back, only to trip over a root and fall to the ground again, right onto his already injured leg.

‘Let me help you, boy,’ the nameless lord smiled and held out his hand.

Without wanting to, Devin grasped it and leaned against the tall person, following them deeper into the woods. A lonely tear ran down his cheek. He didn’t want to go with them, but he knew that he had no other choice.

@harpieunion like I said, Devin still looks very similar to my Dewdrop. No horns, keeping the hair as I change Dew's hair to a part down the middle.
