20 for Noe, Flor, Nat, and Mal

20 | Share one piece of lore that you want everyone to know!

Noe crafts swords, but isn’t especially proficient in use of weaponry. He and Hyla have been known to spar, but nothing serious, and she isn’t much for combat. It’s definitely more play-fighting than anything else. Noe does have an innately good feel for the balance of a weapon, though.

I dropped that urban legend, but, more to her... temporal life, Flor had very little patience for those who advocated towards fearful treatment of magic. She had an innate curiosity towards forbidden magics, which is why blood magic was allowed as part of Ky’s study with her.

Nat birdwatches, avidly. He names birds who repeatedly come to the garden and surrounding area after characters from books he’s read - mostly more prurient material, so, there are many finches and sparrows with very dashing, dramatic sounding names flitting around the garden.

In his time studying with the Satrinava’s, Mal loses focus on magic for a while and gets wrapped up in studying Prakran animals and others that the royal family keeps around. He really, really likes meeting new creatures and learning about them. Home again, he takes quite an interest in Lucio’s former menagerie, and as time permits, helps with the sanctuary for those that could not be returned to their habitats or rehomed.

1 | What is their occupation in the Arcana World?

Nat is an herbalist. His blends are extremely potent, and he has some very loyal repeat customers who had tracked him from town to town until he settled down. Now, he fulfills many requests by mail.

Hyla is a blacksmith and artisan. Most things she wants to craft, if she applies her hand to it, she will find she has a knack for. She really likes making horseshoes, though, as she finds it very calming.

Flor is a shopkeeper and seer in name, but also a researcher and does much work in experimental magic.

Noe is a blacksmith, with a heavy emphasis on swords. He enjoys trying to find uncommon materials to use. Would absolutely make a meteor sword.

Mal is just a student - his options are pretty open, depending on the timeline - he could easily fall in line to become the next Count of Vesuvia if he so chose in Nadia-route timeline.

12 | What’s one of their favorite memories?

Nat can’t forget how Hyla looked when he gave her fresh flowers in the middle of winter.

Hyla thinks often of the moment when it was decided that Noe would stay with the family instead of leaving due to his lack of overt presentation of magic. She was overjoyed.

Flor’s first shared dream with Ky is close to her heart, but, it’s actually how Ky looked at Asra when they realized how deeply he cared for them.

Noe will never get over when a famous mercenary tested one of his blades and asked for custom work. Something that would really look striking with gold.

Mal can’t let go of how good it made him feel to teach Ky magic from within their own family that he learned while traveling. He felt exceedingly accomplished.

perpetually dissatisfied with my digital art style, but a little less so with this doodle of my oc Flor from yesterday. one of these hands turned out pretty well and one of them DESPERATELY needs to be redone. you get no reward except the knowledge of a job well done if you can guess which one.
