Mavis Feldman (from "Healing Hands"), shortly after her husband passes away, takes a trip to Berengaria VII to feed creatures referred to as Dragons.
But she knows better.
Tavis and Mavis: One
He had lost his temper for just a moment when this one had proven to have no information… well he did but it was facts that he had already squeezed out of other humans. He sighed and picked up the meat bag, figuring they could at least sell the body on the black market. With the giant of a man slumped over his shoulder, he made his way to the van; bigger car, less trips. With his glamour on full blast, he didn’t pay much mind when a door in the alley he was in slammed open. Though when he caught the scent he grinned and turned to his twin. “Tavis.”
“Mavis… I see you haven’t had much luck on your end,” Tavis laughed as he took in the dead body and bloody face of his twin. He himself had a wiggling human underneath his arms; Tavis hadn’t bothered to glamour him, instead letting the fear seep into his very being. The young man looked ready to piss himself when he caught onto the dead body too.
Tavis snorted as he fell into step with his brother and made their way to the van that they had hidden in another valley. He popped open the trunk for his brother to put the dead body, moving to the backseat where there were whimpers and cries for help. He gently placed down the human in the empty seat, even going as far as to buckle him in. With a quick scan he counted three… with the few they had back home, it should be enough for a couple of nights of play. “Have you called Raven?”
“Not yet, wanted to see how far we can search before the sun came up,” Mavis answered as he glanced in the direction the sun would definitely rise. Hundreds of years of death each night had burned the direction and time into their beings. “Though... though it seems we’ve got as much as we can,” He hummed moving to stand next to Tavis and look at their collection. He reached out and placed a warm hand from his recent feeding on the shivering humans cheek. He smiled. “He’s very beautiful…”
“Isn’t he? He barely knew anything, but I had the brilliant idea that we can exchange him for sweet Thomas,” Tavis chuckled as he brushed the black hair from the humans eyes. “A good wash and some trimming will be wonders.”
Mavis let out a laugh too and patted the human’s cheeks a few times before moving away and sliding the van door close. He glanced around, but their glamour combined had any humans disoriented with just a glance in their direction. He hummed as he tapped his foot, making sure they hadn’t forgotten to do anything. They had an hour before the sun came up and he could already feel his body start to die on him. He sighed as he reached out and wrapped his arms around Tavis body and pulled him in close.
“We should head back soon,” Tavis sighed too as he fell against his twin, his eyes on the direction of where the sun would rise. He had always been the careful one… well not always but he felt being older- the first to turn- he had to look after his twin. The other was had no patient for things, always quickly to kill and his eyes flickered to the trunk where the dead body was placed. Not that he was any better.
In all honesty, the only ones that can truly tell them apart- or they believed as much as possible- was Raven. They didn’t really trust themselves, blood exchange passed between the two so much that they didn’t know who was feeling what half the time. They tried to keep themselves from drinking Raven blood too much, not wanting him to be caught up in their twisted minds. Though they couldn’t help but do what he asked. It was nice to let go and put their lives in someone else’s hands. Ravens hand.
Mavis was the first to break away from their thoughts, knowing exactly what the other was feeling… almost thinking. “Come brother, lets go before the glamour starts to wear off these humans,” He joked, releasing his twin and moving to the drivers seat. Usually they had someone drive them around, but they liked to hunt on their own sometimes. They didn’t need for others to find their secret home either… though they were sure that many new about it already.
“Yes, yes, I’m sure our Raven is already waiting for us too,” Tavis laughed as he settled himself next to the last human they had captured. “I’m also positive that Ailmaer has waited enough days for information.”
They had yet to return to coven main home, wanting to do a thorough investigation of gathering information before teasing their master and his pet. They had matching grins as they glanced at one another, loving the information they had gotten. They had searched orphanages, graves and might have even hacked into a few databases, but they loved to have the advantage. They especially loved the human that the pet had hidden away in the hospital that was just the cherry on top to all of this.
Mavis drove in a different direction from the main coven, driving to the place where they kept most of the humans that they tortured and played with. Packing in the garage, they made quick work to shuffle the humans out of the van, glamouring them to stand by the wall as Mavis picked up the dead human and followed after them, only stopping in front of a giant metal door that he slide open with ease to their personal morgue. He opened one of the metal drawls to slide out the table and unceremoniously dumped the body on before slamming it shut to keep the body cold.
With that done they headed down into the basement where a few more humans were already chained to the wall, all shivering and crying out. It was too much of a hassle to constantly glamour them, so they had long since soundproof the house. “Ah… should he watch? I don’t want to trade damage goods to Elanor, she always does like to properly train them…” Tavis huffed, as he looked over the black hair human as his twins continued to chain the rest of the humans.
“Watching shouldn’t damage him… too much,” Mavis laughed as he finished with the last human, before moving towards him too. “Name.”
“John,” The human stammered out.
“Well if anything, we can play with him for a bit before Raven comes home… though it’ll have to be quick as the sun is almost upon us.” Mavis looked a bit worried that their Raven wasn’t there yet and the sun was approaching. Their child was strong. Stronger then many old vampires, but he was still young and weak in fighting against the suns pull.
“Chain him up with the rest, we’ll figure it out tomorrow,” Tavis said after thinking for a moment. He left that to his brother as he made his way out of the room, the basement having been expanded much like the coven to hold many rooms. There were whimpers from some of the rooms, but he ignored them. They were lucky, they were only there to be played with and then released, much to his disappointment, the others though... Ailmaer never did say how he wanted the information gathered.
And oh, how they’ll gather it.
